WG3526 with MC7455 LTE connection lost randomly - reboot only remedy?

Post by reto.sommer »

In the past 24 hours I had to reboot my WG3526 3 times to recover from loosing LTE connection. It appeared that the modem would drop off and then reconnect on the "Modem/Miscellaneous Connection/Disconnection" page. The buttons "Connect current modem" and "Disconnect current modem" would alternatively switch on and off, leaving me no other choice than to power cycle the router.
All is back to normal after, but obviously this would be difficult to recover from if I was not home.

Anyone know of any possible issues (I know there were some mentioning on the 826 about sufficient power)?

Any possible scripts that could be written that would force a reboot if the internet connection was lost?

I would try this new GoldenOrb build for the WG3526. Be sure and UNCHECK the box to Save Settings when you update the router firmware.

Thanks Jim.

Is there any release notes posted somewhere on the changes that were made?

Not that I am aware of. Any issues discovered since the previous builds are complied into each new build.
