You can replace the modem with any mpcie modem, and even m.2 key b modems with an adapter. I wouldnt go much higher than a cat 12 modem though, and that is even overkill. Your just looking to get more bands. The Sierra Wireless modem modules are great and almost literally pop right in, especially th...

When you get lower speeds, and it returns after a reboot, for a while, does it ONLY go back up in speed after a reboot? It sounds like your being de-prioritized, which can be bypassed sometime temporarily by resets. Does your UL speed also go down, does it stay the same and only the DL speed drops? ...

Yeah, you need to have a SIM to get the device setup. I mean, technically you don't need a SIM to set all your settings, but you need the SIM to get moving and tuned into the towers. Search for "PagePlus" on this forum. I've seen BillA talk a lot about people using it with limited issues. ...

The NEXG H721 is popular, though you have to use the m.2 modules in the underside interface (usb 2.0) unless you want to solder a protection circuit for the upper interface. Yeah, next best route is a used unlocked iphone and a prepaid month of att service on it to test. B41 is apportioned for all DL, little UL. I can regularly test DL speeds of 275Mbps, but UL of about 10Mbps. I only use B41. I think single channel UL on 41 is avg 3Mbps up, up to 5Mbps. Carrier Aggregation works on the UL side too, so I think that's where higher numbers can come in.

It doesn't mean your cable isn't bad, it just means it should be able to run that distance.

Re: is WE826-T2 really outperformed by mini $12 router?
Over my head. ;) I usually see on here that when people get into needing top power WiFi they go to dedicated access points like the Ubiquiti's and such. I honestly think the WE826s wifi is decent for me but its far lacking. My Surf SOHO MK3 router has damn good wifi power and I honestly only use it ...

Re: Using a cell phone as a modem?
I've not seen that. I have heard of people putting the phone on tether to a router and plugging it together inside an enclosure and setting up as high as they can to get the best signal they can.
BillA is the phone tether expert here I believe. Hopefully he can chime in.

Re: Quectel EP06-A bottleneck? + ANTENNA DATA
There are sooo many variables to account for... First. Don't compare your cat 16 modem equipped iphone X to your cat 6 Quectel modem in a router that has way more speed limits on it. Apples to orangutans comparison. Your phone will smoke just about anything you can buy. That said you have to make CE...

Likely they scanned and saw the IMEI of your modem was not a phone. Youll have to call them and ask.

Re: CBA 850LP6
If your using the factory firmware, then the Cradepoint website. Google "firmware update notes cba 850LP6" find which version of firmware you have and look for that versions notes. Or search for supported modems and the above, etc, etc. I dont have one of these, but this is pretty common

Exactly what kind of cables are you using? 50' is very long, but are you using antenna cables or TV cables? Different coax cable types have different resistances.

Re: I want more speed!
More speed is more fun! A few things.... 1. Your phone has a Category 20 LTE modem with a 4x4 mimo antenna setup and full power blasted to the thing. Your mc7455 in your mofi is a category 6 modem and uses a single pair of antenna connectors you have connected to what sounds like a pair of mismatche...

Re: Trying to decide on antennas
Please don't use PVC. Your antenna will be swaying all over. I actually used fence posts, welded two together to get 14'. There are lots of creative ideas out there. Just make sure you ground it

Re: EM7565 and 3CA (Sprint) - Help Request
Based on your signal info.... 1: You need to get better signal if you want to max out the speeds. https://usatcorp.com/faqs/understanding-lte-signal-strength-values/ has a rough guide graphic I like to refer to. I can never remember all the details to signal numbers. 2: Your main and diversity have ...

An LM960 modem installed a WG3526-P router would fit the bill
