I'm looking for some advice on the best way to get 6 concurrent LTE connections to a server. I'm working with a client who wants to do some automated testing for their web app.
Location: I can host this anywhere in the US. If this works, it will be in a few different countries.
Rough Requirments
Speed: 30-50Mbps
Datacap: 75-100GB /month (Is there a way to get 200GB?)
MRC per SIM >$100
Idea 1:
- Attach USB hub to server
- Connect 6 x USB LTE Modems (not sure which model)
- Handle the routing on the server
Pro: lower initial cost, easier to manage
Con: lower speeds, less reliable (?)
Idea 2:
- Connect 6 x Netgear LB1121's to a switch on their own VLAN
- Connect server to switch and trunk that port
Pro: faster speeds, more reliable (?)
Con: higher upfront cost, more to manage, higher cost
Very much open to other ideas!

You cannot simply connect 6 LTE modems to a regular server, you need a special router which can handle oad-balancing/channel-bonding from all those modems.
The simplest and cheapest option is by using TP-Link's Safestream Multi WAN Router.

Peplink also has a line of professional routers for load-balancing/channel-bonding.

Or the Balance-710 with 7 WAN ports (for up to 7 LTE modems with ethernet connection such as the Netgear LB1120). This router can load-balance/aggregate up to 7 internet sources, course it's not cheap but it's a professional router.

Hi. I had planned on doing something similar, albeit with only two LTE modems. I came up with the following solution using an EdgeRouter 4 (there are more upscale variants of this, but it fit the bill for me); may help--may not.
