Receive texts when sim is in LTE router

Post by beekgegewgio »

I have a cudy LTE router with my visible sim. Is there anyway to access the text messages sent to my visible phone number linked to this sim?

For example, if I call somewhere (using my voip #) or login to a site, they send me a text message. This requires I go in the attic, take out the sim card, put it in my phone, get the text, write it down, put the sim back in the router, etc and this is a PITA.

Any other way to receive texts for the sim in my Cudy router? Maybe an app or a console in the admin page or something?

Log into the router's settings from a pc or phone connected to WiFi, and look in the menus for something like SMS messages.
Most routers have this feature which lets you send/receive text messages. If yours doesn't have it, then flash it with GoldenOrb which has this feature. Currently these are the only two models at http://www.aturnofthenut.com/autobuilds/
Cudy-TR3000-GO2025-08-07-ABSmn.zip 2025-08-07 13:07 76M
Cudy-WR1300-GO2025-08-08-AB21.zip 2025-08-08 07:37 27M

If you router is not supported, then the only option is replacing it with another which is on that GoldenOrb firmware list.
