AT+QGMR will show the firmware version. It hasn't been updated in 7 months:
....and likely wont be. Quectel isn't getting it FCC certified and has stated it will likely never come out of Engineering Sample stage.

Looking at the specs of the RM521F, it seems to be a lower end 5G modem with only 900 Mbps down speeds.
You're better off with the global version RM520N-GL (2,000 Mbps down speeds), or get the InvisaGig with the modem for a kick-ass setup.
