This will get a dead mr1100 board back to emergency mode (9008)

I presume that you mean to ground this point?

I'm sure that this does the job, but it would be nice to know if the GPIO for EDL mode is actually available somewhere.
The test point you indicated is probably a clock or data line. The device can't run while the TP is activated.
OTOH, the EDL GPIO is not jumping around and could be extended without problem to a switch or accessible test points.

Yes, ground to chassis and plug the USB in and it will get you to 9008 mode so you can revive a dead or half-dead board. 9008 can be reached by a working board thru the command line so no need to even disassemble it for that on this one because of this it seems to me that attaching a reed or switch would be time wasted unless there is a specific need for it that I am not thinking of.

Well, I'm good at time-wasting. (Shown, MiFi 8800L.)

Thanks! Rich

This location is under the shield. It looks like I need some tools to remove the shield and need some skills to do it. :(

I will not try for now. maybe later ;)

its a press-on cover you can pry it up gently with a plastic pry tool or small flat screwdriver and it will pop off. be careful not to damage the board or other components
