MR5100 and MR6500 only connect to LTE “5G”

Post by TGabriele »

I’m trying to figure out if this is an issue with the SIMs that I use or if there’s a hack I need to apply. I have SIMs on unlimited data for iPad on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. All of them are connected to “5G”, but when I check the band I see that they are connected to LTE bands and download speeds are nowhere near the c-band 5G speeds I get on my iPhone.

Am I missing something?

well you prob need to make it look like a tablet then to the carrier, and most of the 5g bands/configs use the lte bands, however sierra devices have alot of control files for data and especially 5g
sierra makes these devices very controllable for the carriers they sell them to
to get the most out of them they need to be modified and dethrottled in many places
