Main page and Wiki: https://smoothwan.com/

Main solution: Speedify on OpenWrt
Additional: Speedify redundant-mode self hosting alternative using Engarde https://github.com/porech/engarde
Bonus: Forward error correction for single WAN using TinyFEC VPN https://github.com/wangyu-/tinyfecVPN

Includes USB port network interface renamer for data caps and PBR.

Suggestions and feedback are appreciated.

I setup SmoothWAN on two systems using GL.iNet Slate and Flint routers. One one system, I have a DSL line and a NEX6GO as internet inputs and the other has two NEX6GO routers with EM12 modems as internet inputs. They both work well. One thing to note is that even though the two internet sources are aggregated (bonded) with the throughput added together, there are issues with streaming from NETFLIX, Amazon etc. because the system uses Speedify to do the bonding and they are basically a VPN. The streaming outfits block VPN due to geolocation. Speedify does have a bypass build in, but it does not always work.

SmoothWAN also has AdGuard home built in that does a pretty good job of filtering out ads. Also, you can set-up Tailscale and Zerotier in SmoothWAN to allow remote access to these devices, both of these services are free and work very well.

Glad it's helpful, added instructions here for bypassing Speedify: https://smoothwan.com/wanbyp/
