Planning on building a pfsense/opnsense or openwrt router using the Quectel RM502Q-AE modem connected to this 6x2.5gb mini pc: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 82936.html

Wondering if the Quectel modem would work if used with this https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 94965.html to connect to the mPCIE port? If not what's a better option?

Would I be better off connecting the Quectel modem via usb C https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 75628.html?

Any tips and advice is appreciated!

Looks like a good price on a knockoff Protecli mini-pc. Not sure the mini pci-e will do usb 3.0 though, i think it's limited to usb 2.0 speeds, but i could be mistaken. I have my 502 in one of Wireless Haven's USB 3.0 enclosures going into a WRT32X with great success. I don't have 5G here, but have got the best 4G speeds i've seen with anything else.

Testing a BananaPi R3 now, much smaller and hoping to put it in an antenna enclosure to simplify my setup. Plus i think i can to a fiber run via the 2.5 SFP ports to my EdgeRouter4 that runs my network, interested to see what that setup does for me.
