WiFix NEXS2GO - Does not show signal data with Sierra EM7455

Post by infortel »

Hi, I have installed a modem Sierra.
I am able to connect to the internet through the router and browse. However, the router portal page does not show signal information.

On the option: MODEM / NETWORK STATUS
Signal information shows as follows:

Network :
CSQ : 0
Signal Strength : 0%
RSSI : <= -113 dBm
ECIO3G/RSRQ4G/SS_RSRQ5G : -
RSCP3G/RSRP4G/SS_RSRP5G : -
SINR : -

It does not show band information either.

The modem I installed is the Sierra model: EM7455 Cat 6 (Sierra Wireless AirPrime) but shows on the router as "Sierra_Wireless,_Incorporated DW5811e_Snapdragon™_X7_LTE".

Any ideas ?

Thank you.

That modem is out of a laptop. Those are Dell branded EM7455's in order to get it to show up correctly Inthink you'll have to modify the PIDA and USB Product Name to match a base Sierra EM7455. The router firmware identifies the modem based on the USB VID and PID.

Check out Daniel Woods Github for info on modifying a Sierra modems identity.
