Hello everyone, New here, I just got a 4g setup with a usb3.0 sled and a WG3526 router, Latest rooter firmware on router, I am having issues with it not connecting with tmobile sim. At this point I am just getting everything setup and tested. I have searched the forum and came to a point about downgrading the em20 firmware but downloaded the writeup from Jim but the download files are no longer available.

Any help is much appreciated.

Set the modem in MBIM mode, turn off the PDP context auto load (AT+QMBNCFG="autosel",0) and ensure the modem has saved memory (AT+QPRTPARA=1) then power cycle the modem, or run AT+CFUN=1,1

Thank you very much for that. Got all that done, set the apn and under interfaces where i set the modem to MBIM mode, shows Pin code rejected but then disappears, and now under modem network status the modem or sim info doesn't show at all as before upgrade it did.

Ok, just powered down everything restart and now sim info is showing under modem network status, failed to connect, And still shows PIN code rejected in WWAN interfaces.

Did you have a SIM pin code before?

That may be coming from the router firmware attempting to send SIM pin unlock to the modem

IMEI matches the registered Tmo device?

So I went and got the att sim for hotspot setup and apn settings imei is correct. And still showing same error and won’t connect.

No sim pin as far as I know. Didn’t say anything about it when I was registering it and setting it in online.

Sim pin is set on device, as far as i know. Not really from the carrier.

So the modem? Or the router?

router. via AT commands to the modem. I'm not super familiar myself, though, on the how. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what I've seen before.

Its just stuck on connecting, and under miscellaneous says modem present /not connected.

and under WWAN says "Error: Unknown error (NO_REGISTRATION)"

What does the command AT+CGDCONT? output?

What errors does your system log show for the mbim messages?

Network sees your modem and SIM card and is saying, NO!

What plan is the ATT and Tmobile SIMs?

What device was the SIM placed in to make sure it is working and passing data? Are you using that devices IMEI on the modem when use its SIM card in the router?

att is a hotspot plan, tmobile is one of my phone lines, The modem is a "tablet".

I would mirror the modem identity to the registered SIM before firing up each SIM change.

Also to repeat ensure the AT!QMBNCFG="AutoSel" is set to off/0 and stays that way after a power cycle.

You may want to try and factory reset the modem with the SIM removed and set it up to just MBIM, IMEI, and manually set APN#2 and #3 to your preferred carrier settings.

ok, What is apn #2 and #3? I know set it in the modem setting and in the wwan under network.
