EM9191 on Verizon

Post by zac2424 »

Hey all,

I am about the pull the trigger on test out the new EM9191 in an USB enclosure (wireless haven) with a Raspberry Pi4 B running latest GO. Wondering if anyone has had an luck/experience with this setup or similar so far? Or just the 9191 in general. I'm using a Telit 960 right now so even if 5g signal doesn't work out yet hopeful for similar performance on the 4g side.

I do have a spot that i can sometimes get 5g on my phone, but slower speeds, so hoping the 4x4 mimo panel antennas (also wireless haven) I have might boost that a bit. Either way hoping to prepare for the future, or even use dual plans and try OMR out.

Any input on the 9191 or other 5G modems would be great!

Thanks!

I've not used mine on Verizon yet, but so far it seems to be a pretty standard Sierra experience. It just seems to work.

Thanks! That is what I figured, I've used the EM7455 and EM7565 pretty extensively with few issues. The Telit has been great too, but I've struggled more with the AT Commands for it and understanding how to configure it. Guess I'll give the 9191 a go... wish me luck.

Thanks again!
