Ethernet Only Router

Post by dbshelton »

Is there such a thing as a Gigabyte Ethernet only router without Wifi that will run Rooter and accommodate a modem? I know I can turn off the Wifi somehow on all routers.

Nope! Not one that's worth a damn. I'm working on one, but it takes time and cash monehs.

I posted this same question on the Rooter Forum and one suggestion was a Mikrotik RB750Gr3 router. Since I have most of my modems in separate USB enclosures (I like the flexibility) I went ahead and ordered one from Amazon for $57. Will flash with Rooter and give it a try.

@dbshelton

Did anyone mention whether the Mikrotik RB750Gr3 is equipped with USB2 or a USB3 port?

I am pretty sure it is a USB2 port.
