Help with wavefarm 2x2 MIMO and T-Mobile Tashcan

Post by Murphy625 »

I live in the rural countryside about 2 miles from my tower.. nothing but farm fields and tree lines between me and the T-Mobile tower. I normally connect on the Primary Signal only with B2 or B66 and get speeds of 20/5 during the day, 1/3 in the evening, and 50/5 after 11pm.

Command prompt pings show a 20% packet loss on average. My normal readings are
RSRP -105 to -110
SNR 5 to 12
RSRQ -11 to -15
RSSI -72 to -81

When I put the MIMO antenna on the roof and pointed it at my tower, my Primary Signal improved big time.
RSRP -90
SNR 24
RSSI - 64

The problem is, the Secondary Signal kicked in on the N71 band.. This caused my download to go to 1 or 2 MB/s but my upload to go as high as 20 or 30 MB/s.

That N71 band seems to be the download channel when it has a secondary signal.

The MIMO instructions say to connect to either the top two or bottom two antenna ports. Can I connect to one of each?

any suggestions?
