4x4 MIMO Antenna Selection

Hello.

I just received my Tmobile gateway. I run get 2-3 barsn of service and get downloads from 100-200meg/sec. I am approximately 6.1 miles from my tower. I have seen it use B2 and B66.

At the moment, I get the best service with the gateway placed in my kitchen. If I move it anywhere else, the speed becomes very slow.

I am looking at two antennas. The The Wireless Haven 4x4 MIMO AD4M 1DP738X8 and the possibility of running four yagi antennas similar to the The Wireless Haven AD LY638V11 NF.

Question: Does it make sense to use four yagis instead of the 4x4 MIMO?

What are your thoughts?

If you have a clear line of sight between you and your tower the LPDA type antennas work well. If you have trees between, or even other obstructions, the flat panel directional may fare better.

Sometimes one works contrary to this, but it really depends on the location.

What you really need to ask yourself is
do I really want to mount and AIM 4 seperate antennas?
or
get a single device that needs aiming?

Good point.
My logic was that the yagis would be better because of their higher gain.

I do have line of sight.

Looks like you have very good speed not sure if adding a 4x4 would help much.

Looks like the silver case has Metal in it. Maybe fun to see if you Can you improve you’re single by removing the case. 🧐
