NOOB - WG1608/EM7565

I am totally new to all of this, so please have patience with me. I have WG1608 with EM7565 and I installed an AT&T tablet sim. I am using preinstalled GoldenOrb. I have changed APN to broadband. The computer sees the network but I have no internet connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated I am at a total loss. I am in a rural area with no internet and this is my last hope. Thank you.
