UltraGain 26 parabolic antenna assembly

I purchased one of the Bolton parabolic antennae’s. the instructions for positioning the “feed horn” aren’t very intuitive to me. I need position 4 for ATT bands 2 & 66 (1700 & 1900mhz). I took a couple pictures in two different positions. Which do you think is correct?

You make the horn
LONGER for the lower frequencies.
Pull all the way
OUT for 600MHz Band71
Push all the way IN for the higher frequencies.
This thing is like a laser pointer, very hard to get it to lock into the cell tower. But is you can it works very well!
You will need to monitor the following in real time, and share the info
What is the:
RSRP dBm (Reference Signal Received Power)
RSRQ dB (Reference Signal Received Quality)
SINR dB (Signal to Interference & Noise Ratio)
Using Cell Mapper could also help.

A panel antenna maybe a better place to start. They are more forgiving than a parabolic

Thanks Dr. That is not clear in the directions at all. not to me anyway. just double checking... are you saying I should have it in this position for band 2 (1700mhz) and band 66 (1900mhz)?

My bad the Feed horns are adjusted all the way in to maximize 1700-6500mhz

If that’s the case, I might have to return this antenna. because with it pushed all the way in the holes don’t line up which allow the plugs to be inserted to hold that position.

Don't feel bad I was helping a friend that has a PhD in antenna design and I think we setup his up wrong

Hello . The feed horn comes preset for best mid band performance. That's 1.5 to 3.0 GHz. To improve 700-800 MHz slide the feedhorn in 1 inch. Or 2 inches for 600. This gets you another 1.5 to 2 Dbi..
To add some gain to 3.5ghz to 6.5 ghz pull it out 1 or 2 inches.
