Spectrum Analyzers

Post by datasmasher »

What spectrum analyzers would folks recommend? I am interested in better pointing my Yagi antenna's towards the closest tower (about 2.5 miles away). Would something like one of these work? https://www.amazon.com/AURSINC-Analyzer ... B07T6LXNTV Other recommendations?

I am in almost the same exact boat, similar distance to tower w/ 2 yagi antennas. I had an amazon gift card, and I am going to give the item you linked a shot. I will be sure to let you know if it is worth trying. I will also try to give some info or provide a short guide if I can get it to work for our purposes. It doesn't appear there is much or little when it comes to documentation on this hardware.

That is not a spectrum analyzer. It's a vector network analyzer. It will measure R±jX if you know what that is. I really doubt if it would do what you are expecting it to do. Like I say it's a network analyzer, not a signal analyzer.
