Which is the better application for 15dbi flat panel antennas, two separate antennas or a mimo (dual) antenna?

From what I seen the difference is the one dual Mimo antenna is only higher frequencies.
When there is two separate antennas the are usually wide band antennas that include lower frequencies as well.

As long as you can get the frequencies you want the dual is just more discreet and simpler to install since you only have to install and aim one housing.

Performance is roughly the same in my experience.

What frequencies should I be looking for?

Generally, for 4g LTE, 700-2700mhz wide-band will get you everything you need. That is what *most* of the flat-panel/lpda's operate at, anyway. I would avoid any true yagis as they tend to only support 700-900mhz. Do note that a lot of 'yagis' are actually lpdas, though.
