WE826-T2 am I stuck without internet for weeks

I ordered WE826-T2 from KuWfi and can’t get it to work for the life of me. Support from KuWfi is not naming me very happy.
Device arrived with some custom firmware that is limited. No log access. No AT commands. Constant reboots.
I only have a cell phone to solve this. Am I stuck?
The poor WiFi performance, is this all of these tourers or certain ones? How can I tell?

Many of these routers have meh Wifi. Apparently the Newer version of openWRT (19.07.02 or something like that) seems to make it better. There is a version with Qualcomm Wifi chips in it that does much better its said, called the NEXQ6GO...
