Are antennas useful if I've already got a strong signal?

I've been using the WE826 with stock antennas for about a year and can reach 10-30Mb download speeds. The router reports 96% signal strength but I was wondering if directional antennas would provide a better signal and faster network speeds? I've got multiple towers within a 5 mile radius, though I do not have LOS. Some offer B4 or B66 while others are B13 only, but I haven't been able to determine which one I'm currently connecting to.

From this guessing you are using Verizon Service?
What modem are you using?
The advantage to using antennas could be that you could pick and choose what tower and band you are connecting too. Yes you have good signal strength but it is connected to a low frequency band 13. If you where able to connect to a higher frequency band at even lower signal strength more than likely would still get more speed out of it. Also could have the chance to get Carrier Aggregation if your modem supports it.
