first time setup

Post by bukzin »

Have CBA 850LP6 with two panel antennas from The Wireless Haven and LMR200 cables. Can't seem to connect to TMobile.

Router is showing good signal (CloudNet shows connecting, but fails) APN shows fast.t-mobile.com

What other info can I provide to diagnose this?

How might I proceed?

What does your signals look like?

Go to STATUS > INTERNET > CONNECTIONS > CELLULAR NETWORK and screen shot or copy and paste the info for us to look at.

Also, can you better explain your reference to "CloudNet".

Jim, thanks for getting back with me. Where do I find the steps you mention, is that in NetCloud?

Secondly, how do I attach screen shots?

Really appreciate the help!

It appears to be reading the SIM card and passing through the APN for TMO.

Signals are not the best and the RSRQ which is the quality of signals is below usable.

Are you using external antennas, and if so, do you have them aimed at the tower?

What information does it show below that the information your posted (i.e., the Cell ID, Bands, EMM Connection State....)?

Also, before we do too much further, what plan are you using, and does it have hotspot data that is available on the plan (i.e., used less than 50GB on most TMO plans)?

I have two of the AD 1DP727L15 NF panel antennas. They are on the desk inside the house, not yet aimed.
I think the tower is less than half a mile here in 95926

Here is the updated Cellular Network page, will send the info below it in next post.

I would first make sure I knew exactly where the tower is, and that it is a T-Mobile tower.

Then, mount the antennas and aim them exactly at the tower, and tilted upwards a few degrees.

Make sure the cables are hooked to the MAIN and the AUX connector ports of the router (i.e., not the GPS connector).
