Linksys WRT32X Goldenorb firmware

Post by Darrick602 »

Trying to find firmware only found firmware for acm3200 tried openwrt but it's too complicated for me all I'm trying to do is setup USB tethering on my router with a mifi7730l had it working for a min then it stopped I'm also going to setup em7565 with USB 3.0 to m.2 at a later point unless someone thinks I'd be better off using we1326 to connect the modem please give me some advice thanks

It does appear that the WRT32X v1 is an OpenWRT supported device.

You may head over to the Whirlpool/GoldenOrb forum and ask Dairyman to place it on his list to build. He is good at adding new devices.

I also have just acquired a WRT32x router and have loaded up GoldenOrb software from a link found found on this board for the 32x, can't seem to find it anywhere else (ie ROOter site). Anyway all seemed good until I tried to attach the EM7455 in a generic M2 USB adapter. The 32x router won't connect to the 7455. Upon examination of the logs it turns out the 32x connects the USB then just as modeswitch is trying to connect, the kernel comes in and disconnects the USB, WWAN0 and MBIM connections. Logs below. Kernel log just shows the same disconnect lines. Has anyone seen this before or have a clue why the router would disconnect USB while it's trying to connect, it's all happening in 1-2 secs. I would really like to be able to use this router it makes a solid 1300 Mb connection to my laptop for copying large files around, my old Netgear 7000 just only does 300-550 Mb. Also just a note the 7455 works fine attached to a Raspberry Pi 1 running it's version (same) of GoldenOrb. Might have to keep the RPi in front of the 32x, just getting too many boxes strung together.
