to be able to see what band I am using

I am using Firmware Version OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r9614-b61495409b / LuCI Master (git-19.065.57576-61ea3ed) the model name is WE826-T2 I do not see what band I am using is there a way to see that I like the Firmware it stable and it runs faster the golden orb I have an MC7455

I imagine you'll have to use some software to send AT commands to the modem if you are just using plain old openwrt.

Maybe try the tool 'screen' ?

This is the tool I'm talking about: https://www.gnu.org/software/screen/manual/screen.html

You should be able to install it, then just run "screen /dev/YOURMODEMDEVICEHERE"
