Greetings.
I am trying to set up a home made LTE router, since I have one laying around, and need something to use my time on
The only roadblock I am facing, is that I am considering buying a Huawei Brovi E3372-325 4G usb stick, but it seems that this has the HiLink firmware on it. For the purpose I want to use it for, I would very much like to flash the firmware, so that it is just running with the 'stick' firmware. I have read this article on how one would go ahead and do that:
https://www.0xf8.org/2017/01/flashing-a ... tick-mode/
Since this article is somewhat old, and not listing specifically the -325 model, I will go ahead, and try my luck here.
Does anyone have have some knowledge about whether or not it is possible to flash a Brovi E3372-325 into 'stick mode'? I am going to use it with a Netgear R7000 running the newest release of FreshTomato.
Thanks

While most things are possible, if it's not a popular device, there's not much info on it unless you develop it yourself which may be a waste of time compare to other easier solution. The two easier options are to tether a modern USB stick or better yet a phone (Android or iPhone) via the USB port of the router as an external modem. You can get inexpensive USB sticks or used phones online with 5G support, your stick is only 4G. The router must have a USB port and preferably flashable by GoldenOrb firmware which has extensive support for tethered devices. I use the latter with great success.
