EM7565 won't connect (Verizon, NEXP1GO)

Post by j_s_h »

Hello, all. I have a new NEXP1GO with an EM7565. Sim card installed and recognized; APN changed; but it just fails to connect repeatedly.

I appreciate any advice in getting this going.

Thanks.

If it's connecting to WCDMA than you likely don't have signal. Double check that you connected the routers antenna connectors properly and you may have to move the router, like in a car, closer to the tower to make sure all is well. Then head back home and see what you can do for signal levels.

You may also be getting denied by Verizon. They can be a pain to work with. Not impossible, but a pain.

Thanks for the replies! I realized later that the SIM had not properly been activated. I put it back in a phone, called Verizon, and got it activated. I then moved it to back to the modem. It seems it can now connect but will not register:

Code: Select all

AT!GSTATUS?
!GSTATUS:
Current Time: 31245 Temperature: 40
Reset Counter: 1 Mode: ONLINE

LTE SSC2 state:NOT ASSIGNED
LTE SSC3 state:NOT ASSIGNED
LTE SSC4 state:NOT ASSIGNED
EMM state: Deregistered Waiting for PDN
RRC state: RRC Idle
IMS reg state: No Srv IMS mode: Normal

PCC RxM RSSI: -43 PCC RxM RSRP: -68
PCC RxD RSSI: -46 PCC RxD RSRP: -74

RSRQ (dB): -8.2 Cell ID: 01eb3102 (32190722)
SINR (dB): 12.0

OK
The EMM state cycles through different things: waiting for PDN, wiating for NW, deregistering, etc.

Any ideas? Any general Verizon hints?

I've swapped Verizon SIMs to other (older) modems before and never had any issues at all, so I wasn't expecting any trouble here. I appreciate any advice.

Thanks.
