MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7690 vs NEXP1GO with Quectel EM160R-GL Modem

Post by BoatGuy »

Ive narrowed my latest purchase down to these 2 , Like to hear your pros and cons on each, I did have the mofi 4500 v2 sim 4 for 3 years in a remote location powered by solar before it gave up the ghost and I replaced it 2 months ago with a mofi v3 sim 8, ive moved since then and the lte signla is much better and need to upgrade to 1 gb ehernet, and a cat 16 or cat 20 modem , both priced about the same

Get the NEXP1GO with Quectel EM160R-GL Modem

MOFI has NO customer service

“LTE folks are above the best as far as customer service and their support. They answer phones, they follow up and have the answers when you ask or will get back quickly if they don’t.”

Would add the PoE option

Careful @Dr-BroadBand , MOFI will claim you are purely outright lying about them --> https://www.reddit.com/r/Rural_Internet ... ot_router/

Apparently offering free support for their routers in place of their own makes everyone on this forum a liar spreading false information about their industrial grade commercial grade top tier hardware routers.
