Noob - Need Help - LB1120

Post by chrissezhi »

Hello everyone -

So I have a LB1120 and live about 7 miles from tower. The LB1120 with window open will pick up 2 bars. I am interested in and a MIMO antenna setup but these have been out for sometime and need to determine what antennas I could get. https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/antennas/700-27 ... l-antenna/

Any advice would be beneficial. I know the bands are 2, 4, 12.

Keep in mind the LB1120 (netgear) is TS9 so any additional information for hookup would be great, i.e. cables, adapters etc.

I did purchase one of these but honestly doesn't do anything or help - http://www.madhornets.com/mad-hornets-18dbi-4g-lte-antenna-outdoor-panel-dual-mimo-n-female-signal-strength-booster/

Thanks for your time and looking -

Chris

The manufacturer shipped the antennas the first of March. They cannot be tracked until they reach the port of entry but we expect them any day.

The 15dBi antennas have Type N Female connectors. Your Netgear has TS-9 connector ports.

The low loss coax cable would be require a Type N Male connector on the antenna end, and SMA Male connectors on the other end. A TS9 to SMA Female adapter would then be used to couple the SMA Male connector to the TS-9 connector port.

The type of coax cables depend on the distance between the antenna and the Netgear. We recommend using LMR400 when possible, and for distances over 20 feet to avoid excessive cable loss--where LMR200 may be suitable for shorter cable runs.
