MoFi4500 Sim 7 and Passthrough

Post by topbilling »

Hey -- did some searching on the boards and haven't found anything on this topic. I'm having trouble setting up pass through on the Sim7. I have a Sim3 also and passthrough works just fine with my router which is handling DHCP. Weirdly, when I setup the Sim7, I'm able to connect to the internet on a device which is hardwired to the DHCP router, but not on any wireless devices which are connected through a Netgear AP wired to the DHCP router.

To be clear, my intended set up is MoFi4500 Sim7 ---> CradlePoint Router (AER1600) ---> Netgear Orbi AP. This works with the Sim3 version, but not the Sim7. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Followed the instructions to a T. Works just fine with the Sim3. Wonder if it's related to the modem...

Firmware looks good.

I have seen magic happen with a hard factory reset of the MoFi.

Make a back up of your settings and do screen shots.
Remove the SIM and do a factory reset of the MoFi.

Tried hard reset and no go. I'm not super familiar with the Mofi4500 interface. Where would I look in the GUI to compare the settings/status of the Sim3 unit which is working fine with IP passthrough to the Sim7 which I just can't seem to get working?

Is the MoFi set for passthrough?

And you are connected to Lan Port #1
