See for antenna clues https://youtu.be/xzqkoPL9t9A https://youtu.be/kFsYem_7eZg https://youtu.be/73jEQgihpso That last one you need to be careful of. He is very detailed and makes specific recommendations but some of his information is REALLY flawed. If you watch the whole series he recommends usin...

Re: I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to do it right
I had no idea I could test different bands. How do I do that? I just assumed my phone chose the best signal and I couldn't do anything about it. Out here the very best I've got outside around my house was -107dbm and Rssnr 2.0. At that I have a decent enough signal to stream youtube on my phone. It...

Re: I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to do it right
I think there is WAY to much good infirmation in here for one person to process so let me try and break it down a little to make it more "digestible" When you going to get al your internet needs from cellular you ALWAYS need a few things: 1) A cell plan 2) A router 3) Some kind of antennas...

Re: I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to do it right
So what should I do, two Yagis or a mimo parabolic? Obviously the two Yagis are cheaper. But I can swing the parabolic if I can keep the modem/router to about 200. A mofi will run you about 300 plus tax and shipping. Make one yourself and you can come closer to that 200 figure. Question, you say yo...

This will whip Mofi all day Screenshot_20200613-234605.png Mofi bad company. Cheat people. All is good when good. If you have issue they will mess you over. I use that exact modem BUT I use a more upgraded router. I use the WG3526 It has gigabit ports, 5ghz wifi and is a metal case so no overheatin...

Re: I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to do it right
Well I just wrote a long explanation but it didnt save and I am to lazy to write it all again. Basically I tested the 4 main types of antennas and for my tree filled signal path found the yagi (wedge) worked best. You have to remember the higher the db the narower the focal path. If your shooting th...

Re: Questions about building LTE router using WE1326
You are talking about the modem itself which can be replaced with another one. I did not try that but I think MOFI software should support different modems. Thanks, this is very interesting note, I will check if I can get wg3526 router without a modem to play with it. I ordered mine directly from Z...

Re: Questions about building LTE router using WE1326
I had a mofi setup as well but found building my own gave me more flexibility. Specifically I wanted ca AND band 66 for example. Mofi does not have such a configuration. Sim4 doesn't have band 66 sim7 doesn't have ca. Just something to think about when you look at things. If you need/want band 71 th...

Re: Questions about building LTE router using WE1326
Thank you very much for the provided info, the router with 2 extra antennas looks great. As far as I am concerned it seems I have chosen a different path since I was not sure if WE1326 was a right choice. If your still looking for solutions the WG3526 has the same basic hardware but 6 antenna space...

Hello, Have follow up question about visible. Have set one of these up for someone. Was wondering if you found a way around the Video throttling at 480 p with visible? It's a double edged sword.... Short answer is no I don't use hd anyway... Longer answer if you could work around it your data usage...

Re: I have no idea what I'm doing but I want to do it right
I just went through a very simular situtation. It took me a year and a half of reaearch and testing but I finally have a solution. I now have alot of answers so I should be able to help you both with your rural internet plan as well as equipment, and no it wont take over a year, most of that was me ...

Re: Unusual signal quality issues... Help!
I havent found one but honestly depends on your area, I am in the sticks and so the databases they use for cell tower location are really non existent. Its EXTREMELY unlikely, even with line of sight that your actually connecting to a tower 15 miles away unless you have a large external long range a...

Re: Issues with EP06E
I know this is an old thread but the wifix firmware has a built in option specifically for this. It pings the router and modem every 10 min and will either reset the modem or reboot the router depending on what is not responding

Re: MOFI4500 / T-Mobile VS. Verizon Confusion. Fast Vs. Slow
I am also on Verizon and had the same issue.... It always seeing my data as hotspot data. Unfortunately while I did find a work around you likely won't like my solution. I ditched the mofi (also had a sim4) and built my own unit consisting of a wg3526 and an ep06-a modem. Total cost was 160 USD. The...

I just received mine less then a month ago and was told its up to date, If this is so and I can confirm I am running the version you guys need I can reach out to the guy that sold it to me and hopefully get you what you need. I have a wg3526 and it seems there are 4 possible firmwares to laod on it: Latest WIFIX version dated 5-16 (not sure is this is based on openwrt 18.06.7 or 18.06.8) Latest Rooter version dated 3-01 (based on openwrt 18.06.7) Openwrt 18.06.8 (Final and latest 18.x version) Openwrt 19.07.04 (Latest ve...
