Re: Mofi 4500 with a signal amplifier?
Here are two examples of a PoE setup The advantage of PoE you can keep the antenna wires very short. The disadvantage is your modem is out in the heat and can overheat. I have seen clever ways to over come the overheating Bottom line is an amplifier is NOT going to help, and the length of your cable...

I checked with them first they say they don't service that address. I find this weird since I basically built home internet off their network. Fyi Only need a friend with an address with service. Have the modem ship to that address and setup auto pay The modem is not locked to address.

Power over ethernet and an enclosure for the MoFI.
Keep your antenna cable very short and cheap. LMR400
Use cat6a or cat7 cable for the data

The parabolic antenna can be tricky, the size is misleading, you would think it’s a large net to catch a signal with. But in fact it’s more like a laser pointer. Getting on the signal and staying on the signal is not easy. The problem with putting your antenna higher is you need more cable. Moving t...

Could the the back bone is broken (The Fiber) that connects the tower to the

You talk about a "Dish" on the tower, sounds like a microwave connection to the internet.
Looks like the tech's are having a problem getting it up and running!!

Lot of good advice the only thing I can add is get the “-P” version. This will give you the option to add PoE (Power Over Ethernet) at a later date.
Keep it simple,
Go slow and ask a lot of questions.

Re: Confusion
That’ a loaded question.
It depends on your goals, needs and budget.
It’s like asking what’s the best vehicle.
Depends what you’re hauling.
Kids, lumber, or babes.
A two seater convertible sports car is fun but not always practical or affordable.

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas
I always tell users when they question they’re single/speed is to drive to the tower and test. It takes all the mystery out of antennas and cabling out of the equation. Get a baseline then move back to your home test every mile. Take good notes. Log signal strength, Single quality, Signal to noise, ...

I don't know what TM is so I don't know if that's an option. Sorry TM is T-Mobile See link https://www.t-mobile.com/isp Also have you looked into 👀 StarLink ?? Should be available in your area. https://www.starlink.com During beta, users can expect to see data speeds vary from 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s and...

n71 is 600MHz signal. And your pipe only 10MHz wide you are doing very well to get 100MBs speed!!

Cellmapper is a good starting point but things are changing fast!derekjsmith wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 10:22 am Here is a good site for finding out which tower you're pointing at and which bands are available and pointed in your direction.

Cellmapper often has out dated data. Use with caution

Re: Router to support 3 modems at once
itgoes211,
To answer your question they do make what your are asking for.
But it maybe cheaper to have Qty-3 setups like Didneywhorl mentioned.
The only down side is space that three systems would take up

Re: Router to support 3 modems at once

I just need to pick a modem, like to h...
