Re: Has anyone ever attempted to try a band lock on GoldenOrb?
Where I am at, ATT Band 12 is slow as molasses. I have used the band locking spreadsheets from this site for Sierra and Quectel with great success to force the modem to use band groups that don't include band 12 - ie speed increases. Here is the guide to the Sierra version of the spreadsheet as well...

Every time I leave IPV6 enabled, eventually the DHCP service as a whole (on OpenWRT based devices) hoses up. So I also disable it by default.

I also noticed that while the latest firmware does allow the modem to connect, the stats down show on the Network Stats page, additionally, the stats no longer show on the Live Network Status Page which was a nice bonus with this router.

Mine is running solid with an EM160. I did try to put an EC25AF in the mpcie slot and when populated, the router see's no modems. I was going to try a few other modules to see if it was specific to the EC25.
This is why I haven't posted my write up yet, as wanted to further troubleshoot this first.

If your using a windows machine, when you select the .bin file, do not double click on the zip and select the .bin file via the firmware update GUI. Instead, double click the zip file and extract it. Then go to the GUI on the router and load the .bin file.

I live out in the country, I have the EM160 that I'm testing in a H761. I did have a Telit 960 in a 3526 doing 4xMIMO with no issues. Re: add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
It is good to hear success story about EP06A and ATT But I noticed the EM06-A -- is it an improvement over the EP0A? And what about power/current for each? Is a hefty power supply recommended? thank you. I got an NEXQ6GO-U from The Wireless Haven and using that with no issues. I am running the marc...

Re: T-Mobile n71 b71 difference to an amp
Boosters will amplify the noise on the signal too, which is why I only use antennas. The really high end boosters have noise filters that deal with this, but they are very pricey and often found in corporate installations.

Re: KuWFi WE826-EC25-AF QUESTIONS
I ran into a unit that wouldn't take golden orb straight. I had to download WE826-MM-3-16-19 and load that instead, once that was on, I was able to use the GUI and load the latest version of goldenorb. Only one unit did it to me, for what its worth.

Have you tried using a static IP on the AP that is outside the default dhcp on the mofi, maybe give it 192.168.10.8. That way you have no DHCP packets flying around during boot up.

Re: Double modems double speed?
I didn't know unlimited existed in the LTE world, j/k. Your modem is a CAT6 modem right? Meaning it maxes out at 2xCA? Upgrade options are as follows: 1. External antennas with good LMR200 or LMR400 cable. 2. Change out the modem to a CAT7, 12, 18 or 20 3. Depending on what you do with option 2, you...

Re: KuWFi WE826-EC25-AF QUESTIONS
Yea, the firmware it ships with does not give you the ability to tweak the TTL settings, I run the latest version of goldenorb on these. Hold the reset button, then plug in power for about half a min. Then take a laptop, with an Ethernet cable. Set the IP on your laptop to something other than 192.1...

Re: Double modems double speed?
I run two routers, with different carriers/towers. I have both run into a USG Pro4 with load balancing enabled. It does not do WAN bonding, but it does load balance across the two routers/modems and it also fails over to one if the other one experiences an outage. There are WAN bonding setups you ca...

Re: T-Mobile Band 71
Yep band-71 is the rural internet little secret, not supper fast but dependable. I have seen 30Mbs if you find the correct tower! With the low 600MHz that travels well through trees and since it’s NEW not may modem or phone have that band. So there is more bandwidth for the people who do. The trick...

Re: Sierra MC7411 Info with TMO Band 71 CA
They are waiting on a very and I mean very very large shipment of 7411's, and I asked them if it was ok to communicate that the 4500 V3 will be based on this modem (update, the M2 version which is the EM model). It was just pure chance I read about this modem on Sierra's web site and then found a fe...

Very thorough dbgainnut. I use one of those Bolton 26db and a big fan, on the verge of adding a second in the same configuration as you have. I have never been able to push a Mofi past 86mbps - probably due to the 100mb backplane on the switch.

Re: New ZBT WG1608 5G-ready router + GoldenOrb firmware
If anyone else is experimenting with the SIM8200EA, I am interested in your experience. I just put one in a WG1608 and am waiting to see if I can get it to register on T-Mobiles network. I gave them a call and had them register the IMEI, but so far, no joy. Thanks for posting this. I have a 1608 an...

Re: 5G RM500Q-GL (quectel) vs EM9190 (Sierra)
I have a ZTE WG1608 test mule with goldenOrb. I use it to test M2 type modems. It has a provision for a GPS port, it has 5 total. I used it on a Telit LM960 and a LM960A18 (NA version). The LM960A18 wouldn't register on Tmobile unless I use a data only plan. I'm on the fence on what 5G modem I plan ...

I have gotten this unit to CA with Band 2 at 5MHz and Ba...

Re: Sierra MC7411 Info?
So far the 7411 looks like its CA TMO band 71 on DL, which is a first for a router I tested. I'm seeing a DL performance boost of about 40% during peak times. I'm still learning the Sierra AT commands, I'm more familiar with the Quectel's. Output as follows... ______________________________ at!gstat...

Re: Questions for Telit LM960A18 owners, please!
Verizon is tough, where I am at, I have tested most of their towers and only found one tower where they don't throttle upload. On my Telit LM960A18 they wasted no time banning it and shutting down the SIM. My other units were fine on it. I'm not done with testing on their network though. I'm out in ...

Thanks! I got it through a distributor. Its got a new ETA of monday, I was hoping to test it out all weekend. I'm trying to CA up band 71. If I could get band 2 and 71 on Tmo to CA up it would be a game changer. Where I'm at, nothing beats band 71 on upload speed. So wondering if anyone has done any...
