No, I do not need them, but yes it is a mail-in-only service because of the type of load it is, it cannot be done over network, it would take a couple of days to complete and likely would not run to completion uninterrupted which would mean you would have to send it in to be recovered anyways. So mi...

Yes unfortunately both devices would need to be local to me. band locking is simple, just add the band you want to any open slot, by default 3 through 9 are open for lte. your problem is, your 6500 does not have/know bitmask for the band you want (8) your 6500 should look like the below snip. -------------------------------------------------------------------...

fdt has builds for both and build that run on either, if you are using the wrong one windows will give you an error

Your device should be set to slot one by default which is "ALL BANDS" you can get on the mobile app and see that, if it is you may not have service there, check to see if you get service at your house with other devices before you go modding it so you know you are not waisting your time.

Just check the hardware on the fcc page to make sure the antennas are the same as
MR6150-100EUS
They do have the same chip and modem so you only need to check the antenna specs
If they are then you will know you can enable those 2 bands in the device.

The best way is to erase it from 0 to 7ff then send a proper loader then send a proper hello and upon getting a proper response write it back from 0 to 7ff, then upon completion, your device will have 100% new firmware with all parts being written.

Telnet and AT commands are not an avenue to accomplish this, (that I know of)
It needs to be done from within the nv, and while there are always more than one way to skin a cat the nv is the only way I can see to get it done.

Re: New MR6500 Need Advice
1. I'm still under the return period. Should I keep this or is it going to be a headache? I haven't found many other good options. You should be fine. 2. Firmware: Device shows "Current software is up to date." But it does seem that there are newer versions out there (12.xx). Is 10.04.22....

Re: MR6500 device with MR6400 fw?
That is a question in need of another question, which is, have you looked at the hardware specs to know if the variant you have can even see those bands? and I dont mean to look netgears site because they will only list for the bands for the carrier it is made for -----------------------------------...

OK so that device is the Tracfone variant it may be locked out of all MEP functions, but your 6110 should be working unless it is updated to or beyond 12.01.xx, if it is then it is prob already locked out also and would have to be repaired before it can work again. https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopi...

Just need a working device, then will have to see if you can enable the ports or maybe find fastboot mode, this is generally on sierra devices found by holding the reset button while you plug in the usb cable and keep holding reset until your pc dings which will be about 5 seconds.

Which partition would have the contents I need? if that snippet of the mtd above is correct then mtd29 for starters And would we need just the contents of that partition or other partitions too? but it is also possible mtd26 can restore your device depending on whats wrong with it, which I assume y...

That is what you are trying to replace so if you were able to "grab" it then whatever you load it to would have the same problems, the partition I was asking for if populated contains needed info to help make a recovery file but yours is not populated it only contains a header the rest is ...
