band locking is simple, just add the band you want to any open slot, by default 3 through 9 are open for lte. your problem is, your 6500 does not have/know bitmask for the band you want (8) your 6500 should look like the below snip. -------------------------------------------------------------------...

Your device should be set to slot one by default which is "ALL BANDS" you can get on the mobile app and see that, if it is you may not have service there, check to see if you get service at your house with other devices before you go modding it so you know you are not waisting your time.

Just check the hardware on the fcc page to make sure the antennas are the same as
MR6150-100EUS
They do have the same chip and modem so you only need to check the antenna specs
If they are then you will know you can enable those 2 bands in the device.

The best way is to erase it from 0 to 7ff then send a proper loader then send a proper hello and upon getting a proper response write it back from 0 to 7ff, then upon completion, your device will have 100% new firmware with all parts being written.
