I helped two other users set up their router/service, and it worked perfectly with two separate EP06-A modems.
Not sure which modem firmware version they had, nonetheless it worked without a hitch.
I'll report back in case I encounter a bad apple.

So odd that MBIM can clear it up for Verizon users so often. It shouldn't matter really, but that's above my paygrade. Try changing DNS servers to another. including the ipv6 ones. I use Cloudfare DNS sometimes. Hmmm... let's see who might have said "that's above my paygrade"?! Oh, oh, I ...

What seems to be happening when using the CloudFlare DNS app, is that it sets up secure DNS channel which the carrier cannot filter, or simply bypasses some IPv4/v6 incompatibility. Have you tried browsing the web using an ethernet/LAN connection instead of WiFi? Anyway, since now your settings bec...

According to reports by many users, seems like ATT has finally fixed the transparent proxy issue (no more VPN required), where the router would stay connected but there's no traffic through the main http/https ports 80/443 (aka DNS lookup issue). https://forums.att.com/conversations/other-phones-dev...

You could test the disconnect issue using the ATT APN's below, it may or may not help.
Sometimes different APN's may use different servers/proxies on the carrier's side.
First make sure that it works at all, then run it for a day and see how it goes.

All VPN's degrade the raw data speed to a certain degree due to the encryption/decryption overhead at both the user and server side. Throughput depends primarily on the hardware (CPU/memory) the the VPN client it's running on. Most consumer grade mobile routers usually run on some "cheesy"...

MBIM is an older control interface for modems, while it's pretty universal, it's an extra layer for the data to go through, therefore increasing pings times. The newer QMI mode is the preferred method providing a more advanced and direct control over the modem with lower ping times and performance.

Re: T-Mobile SIM Recommendations?
Thank you! My Mofi is a Sierra modem so hopefully I don't run into that issue. What does the SIM activation process look like? Will I need a phone to activate prior to putting it in the Mofi? Are these plans the same that I would be getting from some of the resellers charging $100+/month? It's alwa...

My ASUS router is a TM-AC1900 FCCID MSQ-RTAC68U So I thinks it's one I can't flash or whatever. It's ...

But then it becomes a major pain to try to set up site to site VPN with my unifi hardware. I'm a data guy and only do as much networking as necessary to set things up and make sure they run. I'd prefer to not run a bunch of CLI commands that I don't understand on any networking equipment if I can h...

Even if you're a hundred feet away from a cell tower, an "air-interface" introduces multiple potential faults in data communications due to signal quality, interference, multi-path, error-correction, congestion, etc. "Wire-less" (without wires) will never be as reliable as copper...

Re: Fibocom NL952-NA Modem 4x4 Mimo?
I have not had any issues with quectel or this fibocom. The Fibocom just doesn't like the rooter software for some reason. Blocking seems to be pretty random at this time, it has happened to quite a few users especially when they renew the monthly service, perhaps the carrier does some equipment sc...

Hey have you heard of global plus 15gb? How would that plan work for hotspot? Is tmobile cracking down on imei? Yes, the Global Plus 15GB plan is mainly marketed for global travelers, while it includes unlimited domestic hotspot, only 5gigs at high-speed and the rest at only 3G speeds. No bueno! lo...

If you have a Sierra modem in your MoFi then you should be fine for now, but other modems like Quectel/Simcom and others seem to be blocked by Tmobile/SimpleMobile... just a heads up.

Ok. I have an update finally. I removed the SIM and tested my connection with the phone I used to authorize the SIM and I get the same speed results. Fluctuating between .5 - 1 Mbps. I called customer service and they told me it's a known issue that has been ongoing for the last three days. However...

What ASUS router are you using? I would like to tether MIFI 8000 and want to make sure it is compatible with the router. Any router flashable with OpenWRT/GoldenOrb/WiFix should work, you can check the list here > https://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/firmware16.html You should be able to tether the MiFi-...

When logged into your Verizon account, you can try updating the device imei by entering a spare Verizon phone's imei (make sure it's clean, not lost/stolen or being used on another line), or call customer service and ask them to update it. Make sure the sim card is NOT inserted into the router or th...

There is an N-Type connector version available, please see below. Also, I'll be writing up a review on this shortly. For the money spent on this unit (11dB max gain), there may be better options. However, it being somewhat futureproof by supporting 5G frequencies may be its saving grace. Link: http...

I really don't trust the specs on most generic, no-name brand antennas sold on Amazon or Ebay, because they put whatever "db" gains they want on the box. I do trust The Wireless Haven, Poynting, Proxicast and Wilson antennas.

Bummer that is is SMA connection. I picked up one of these too while waiting for The Wireless Haven to restock their 15dBi flat panel. Need to see about adapting it to N-type connectors in order to use it with my lightning arrestors. Something like this might work, just make sure it needs SMA regul...
