Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100
To answer your questions, no using the GUI for the modem there is no way to change TTL or Band Lock I have seen it done with the command line but have to do every time you reboot the modem. It is possible to hard code TTL and band lock on M1 and M5 so it sticks not only thru reboot but sticks thru ...

Re: Inseego M2000 5G hotspot
That is to much work to do and give away friend, I worked on the verizon variant for 2 months before I was able to make any notable progress on it. Tmobile is known for being locked down and I would expect it to be more difficult, I am sure the firmware will be crypted on that one, if I ever get one...

Re: Inseego M2000 5G hotspot
will tell you here 1 is your device may get borked, it is likely I will have to direct connect to the chipset and if there are any problems before a recovery file is made, if one can be made for it it will not be recoverable until one is/can be made for it from another working device. 2 is many tmob...

Re: Netgear MR1100 att firmware to unbranded
@ gscheb that depends on what you mean by "pretty much quite working" If it needs reloaded, FDT can only load from the factory normal or factory dl mode if your device is in QDL mode (9008 or 900E) it would need to be loaded byte by byte with a patched loader. I can load the AT&T firm ...

Re: Netgear MR1100 att firmware to unbranded
If you are using FDT you do not need to send that AT command or do anything with putty at all, just simply remove the battery then hold power and plug the usb in and keep holding power about 8 seconds or until the device goes into Factory download mode then simply execute FDT, also it does not matte...

Re: Setting OpenWRT to connect to 3G/ignore LTE
@wherman 3G maxes out at about 3.3mbps so if you were getting 8mbps you were not using 3G. I believe that is a MediaTek device so there are not alot of PST'S out there for those type of devices. you should log in to t he devices admin panel, most are located at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 if you cann...

Re: Getting IPV6 Connection
I am not familiar with that device but that usually means the apn is set to ip only you can try to run AT+CGDCONT? if your device excepts it you will see what its set to. ip=ipv4 or ipv4v6 is obviously both if it is set to ipv4v6 you are good there, most devices use pdp profile 1 or 3 for data so ch...

Haha I just posted the same pic you did then deleted it, guess I should read the whole post first. lol. I have not seen that old router for a long time and dont remember much about it, try the hard reset on it, your ui looks diff than the one in the user manual so maybe they blocked apn settings in ...

Bricked usually means dead, this modem is not dead if it is powered up and lights on, logged into the UI and have a look at the diagnostic page to see what info is there or better yet if it will give you a port demsg it and you will be able to see whats going on with it, I have full firmware for it ...

Jailbreak it then install tetherme from the app store, there is a crack for that app that is free if you can find it, look in the big boss repo.

Re: Visible wireless in cellular router
\ The MR1100 lacks the ability to set the TTL so you are going to get stuck with 5 Mpbs up and down hot spot use. Not trying to hijack this thread, however MR1100 TTL can be done and hard coded so it sticks thru hard reset. I am thinking most people do not know this maybe because I am the only one ...

Re: Options for Using my Nighthawk M1
@armysarge21 patching a kernel is not something that is a static operation, meaning its different on most every device and I would say a fairly complicated endeavor. I do not know where to tell you to read up on it maybe xda or some of the Russian forums I am not sure maybe google around, but its no...

Re: Netgear M1
I can change the ttl on the M1, (also on the M5) it is permanent and sticks thru hard reset, it will have to have the imei and fid changed and hard coded and adb enabled then a kernel patch applied, I have done hundreds of them :) Device firmware's and modifications are what I do and have done for a...

Re: Options for Using my Nighthawk M1
The M1 works well on Verizon also for unlimited data, not as cheap (60$)as the ATT tablet plan(35$) but it's prepaid and is pretty fast unless you need band 13, it needs IMEI repair and the kernel needs to be patched to be on the phone plan but when done works as good as any of the novatels and give...

Here, as long as you have the adb port enabled on your device and drivers loaded on your pc just run the script in my tool it is marked "run this script" and it will dump the file in the same folder for you.

Would be helpful to know which mifi/hotspot you are using.
"is there any way I could tell from my own OpenWRT logs?"
dmesg the linux side so you can see exactly what its doing
If you dont know how simply run
adb shell su -c dmesg > dmesg.log
