Re: Antenna Comparison Review (Lots of antennas inside)
That seems consistent with lots of multipathing. I'd recommend reading about it, if you are interested. The topic itself is a very complex and intriguing issue in wireless channels. I have lots of multipath on band 2, but band 12 is not as bad. My multipathing was so bad, antennas 12 inches apart ha...

Your signal stats look to be good enough to get at least 50mbps town.
I'd suspect tower congestion based on your RSRQ values, and my knowledge that Verizon tends to be more overloaded than AT&T even though Verizon has a much wider coverage area typically.

Re: Diagnosing speed limitations right next to towers
Thanks for the feedback, swwifty. I did see a big decrease in performance with one antenna disconnected (from the SMA connector, not from the modem), so I'm pretty sure it is doing spatial multiplexing. Now, how well it is doing it is a good question. I'd have to disconnect from the modem and run a...

If a tower hands off to another one, will the client show the true tower in the stats? I may not have been clear about weaker signals. Re: Diagnosing speed limitations right next to towers
A few things to note here on your testing. 1. If you have clear LOS to a tower, spatial multiplexing is basically impossible. You want to actually have some obstruction(s) to help separate the signals and hence double your throughput. This is why you might be seeing slower download speeds than expec...

I just got my 15 dBi flat panel antennas today and did some initial testing with them. I observed a similar behavior. Did you figure out an optimal distance to separate the 15dbi flat panels for MIMO on AT&T (B2+12)? I see in your pictures that they aren't as close as possible, but are separated a bit. How far do you separate them? Also, in my testing, I get a better signal and throughput with the back of the ...

honestly, that's really good for just little omni antennas.
I wouldn't change it, if it's not broken. An external or bigger antenna isn't going to get you a stronger signal than you already have, based on those signal stats you shared.

Re: WE826 T-2 with Sierra MC7455 on verizon much slower than factory 8800L modem
One thing I just realized is the Band 4 downlink frequency you are connected to is 2350mhz (I looked this up here: http://www.rfwireless-world.com/calculators/LTE-EARFCN-frequency-converter-calculator.html by putting in the LTE rx chan, FYI normally it doesn't come out the same number) is really clo...

Re: WE826 T-2 with Sierra MC7455 on verizon much slower than factory 8800L modem
I have discovered that the wireless output of the router is usually significantly less than the LAN ports. I took the unit up to the building where I want to use it and with the right placement the wired connection would consistently be around 25 mbps download. Wireless internet would anywhere from...

Re: Problems with signal
Swwiffy: I need to figure out how to run AT commands on the MOFI. WhenI do then I can get you the LTEinfo you request. What should it look like? It may ne in another location for the MOFI4500? Yes the the Directional antennas were outside and the OMNIs were inside. That alone would help the signal ...

Re: Problems with signal
blames: Yes I know where the tower is located. I turned the direction about every 15 degrees in a 180 degree (90 degrees each way from what I think is ideal) turn just to make sure that things were not way off. The main location I had them pointed should have been within 15 degrees of ideal. The an...

Re: Not sure what's going on...
Thanks for the response! Yeh I'm prob gonna waterproof the router/modem and mount it on the pole with the Antennas. The reason I locked it to band 41 is there is also a B26 between me and the B41 tower and it will just connect to the B26 tower which barely loads a webpage. I will post my other sign...

Re: Problems with signal
It looks like you might be connecting to two different cells here. The cell ID is different. Also, even though your RSRP values aren't much better, remember that dBM scale is logarithmic, so 3db difference is 2x the signal, 6dbm is 4x stronger, and 10dbm is 10x stronger! Can you run the command at!l...

Re: Problems with signal
you're using 3 antennas? What modem are you using with your Mofi 4500? I assume the MC7455? That only supports 2 antennas. Can you provide some screenshots of signal stats? I suspect you need to aim your antennas in a different direction. Omni-directional antennas have the benefit of not needing to ...

Re: LTE Modems vs ATT Uverse same speeds
Signal percentages are based on usually your RSSI values, which don't mean a ton in LTE. What you really want is a good SINR, and strong RSRP values.
I can't recall where in the Mofi to find that, but can you get a screenshot of those stats, or if you know how to run modem commands, run 'at!gstatus?'

Re: LTE Modems vs ATT Uverse same speeds
I have some questions, cause its not clear to me what your setup is? 1. Is your 4G connection AT&T as well? 2. Can you share your signal stats from the Mofi, or the other device or both? That will help troubleshoot what is going on. 3. 29mbps down on DSL is actually really good, why are you want...

I'm going to try and answer all your questions in a logical order below. If you haven't seen already, I'd recommend reviewing my post on my setup, and this other thread on my single antenna review thread (contains a lot of other info than just on the antennas). https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.ph...

Found a really good short read on LOS, that answered some of my questions in this, but still doesn't explain it all:

Re: My 4G setup/project
I posted over on the Ubiquiti forums a summary of this problem, because, honestly, theres quite a few guys over there and know their RF stuff. Hopefully someone will have an idea. https://community.ubnt.com/t5/The-Lounge/Multipath-Fading-on-4G/m-p/2695417#M49707 Also, it recently dawned on me that a...
