Price is too high for what they offer. I can not imagine they will find many takers. The only way I might be interested is if they got their price down under $50/mo, with equipment costs under $200 or free as part of the service.

So what does your network status> signal information say? As it is, without knowing your signal information, it is impossible to give any advice other than I would wonder about your APN and why you get errors over AT commands.

Two ways of seeing your connection. You can go to Modem>Network Status>Signal information or you can go to Modem>Miscellaneous and give the AT command: AT!GSTATUS?
Also in Miscellaneous there is Cellular Mode where you can select 4G only.

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this does not work on the Sprint network. It does not support any of Sprint’s bands but yes I agree it’s probably the best hotspot modem for the carriers it supports I did not notice that this Mobile Citizen was a Sprint service. My error. Hard to say ...

Re: Help interpret AT!GSTATUS report
Boosters work fine for getting usable phone service... They are not so hot for LTE modems... ... Could you explain why? A LTE signal for your phone or a device is the same radio frequency signal. If you have real world experience in this or can point to something that explains it I would be interes...

Re: Help interpret AT!GSTATUS report
Cell phones, mobile hotspots, wireless modems routers. All run from cellular signals. They get assigned a phone number even if you do not have voice service. Your wireless modem would not need a direct antenna connection. Just its own antennas to pick up the piped in signal from the booster antenna ...

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
Taking a quick look at the Terms of Service over at Mobile Citizen I see this, 2. Equipment You must purchase all necessary Equipment through Reseller. Rental arrangements are not permitted without Mobile Citizen’s prior written consent, nor is the use of third-party equipment. You agree not to tamp...

* In regards to your signal strength though you might have to go to a signal booster. Don't buy the cheap Chinese ones. Not worth the money. You can find a rundown on the best boosters over at https://www.ubersignal.com/4g-lte-signal-boosters *Doing some searching I see that you can not set TTL in a...

Re: Help interpret AT!GSTATUS report
Numbers don't look good for reception. Being AT&T you most likely would want to have Band 12 as your primary LTE band. One thing I have a question about is what AT&T plan are you running? Also do you have a TTL value set on the Cradlepoint? You might have to repoint your antenna until you ge...

Re: Setup Options for MF985 Velocity 2/AT&T-T-mobile
One thing I have noticed ,is that in certain areas of the house, if I HOLD the device, I will get full bars. When I set it down in the same location, it goes back to 1 or 2 bars. You make a good antenna. :) Might be able to replicate that with a external antenna. Reception is a funny thing. Many ye...

Re: Setup Options for MF985 Velocity 2/AT&T-T-mobile
There are several Tutorials on this Forum for a DIY approach. I would read them and see if you feel comfortable with giving it the attempt. I am not one of the Forum experts on it as I just recently built a setup myself and have been reading all that I can on the subject. I have used battery powered...

Re: Setup Options for MF985 Velocity 2/AT&T-T-mobile
Doing some looking at what you have it appears to be a small battery powered hotspot made by ZTE. It does have a external antenna connection so it would be possible to add an external antenna. I could not make out if it was MIMO with two antenna option however. My experience with external antennas a...

Re: WG3526 with EC25-AF questions
What is the APN recommended for the PC's for People sim? You might be able to get it from the hotspot that they supply with the service if you can not find it online. Don't assume it is either a T-mobile or Sprint APN. Now as to whether it will work where you live? That would be a function of towers...

Re: T-Mobile unlimited home internet.
It is no longer just by invitation only. You can sign up for it at the web site I posted. It however is location dependent so you may not qualify. And by location they do not intend this to be a mobile service. It is fixed location. Funny enough those locations may not be remote areas but areas wher...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
Interesting thread. Seems some people really abused the AT&T iPad unlimited plan (Some with over a TB in a month!). It also appears the AT&T allowed them to do it until recently. What I find sad is AT&T does not offer a compromise plan for those that rely on a wireless connection for int...

Re: What should the modem settings be in GoldenOrb?
I do notice one interesting difference after reflashing the firmware. Before I did I could not get a speed reading from OOkla just the latency number. I had to use testmynet to have that. Now after the reflash Ookla is working normally. I will see if this bodes better for how things work. One other ...

Re: What should the modem settings be in GoldenOrb?
That is the firmware I am using. It may be I will need to reflash it. I did a complete reset of the Chinese supplied firmware by holding the reset button as detailed here on the Forums Tutorial and than installed the GoldenOrb. The problem may be more due to Red Pockets AT&T implementation. Cert...

Re: T-Mobile unlimited home internet.
Thank you for the information. One of the issues with all these carrier companies is the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Often times you only know about a special offer by happenstance and luck. Nor can you rely on anything to stay the same down the road. I hope your community ...

Unfortunately you could lose your Grandfathered service by swapping the sim. The IMEI of your new device would have to be acceptable to AT&T and the swap approved by them.

Re: Thanks for the Forum!
Reading up on Crickets Terms of Service I find they prohibit moving sims from one device to another without going through a upgrade process. I do see that the IMEI for my Sierra modem is accepted by them and I could order a sim and account for it. I may do that at some point. One thing I notice in t...
