Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am quite experienced with most networking stuff but GoldenOrb is a bit new to me. I would try the following. 1. Reflash the router with the latest GoldenOrb firmware in bootloader mode. https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=6007#p6007 Latest WG160...

Re: Starlink now available to order
2nd that hobby sentiment!! I signed up for a pre-order, even if it's just to get in the queue. My load-balanced dual-LTE Visible ($25*2/month) has been pretty stable the last 2-3 months since I started it, but on the weekend it's abysmal (as expected - tourists come in to town and flood the towers)...

Re: Newbie Here, trying to get Rural Connectivity
Down and 2mbps up. Right now im getting .2 and .1. That is with the ookla speed test on my iphone So here is my new device. They took my old one in on trade in and charged me $100 for this one. We are getting better speeds. But watching Netflix last night, and it started buffering and lagging. With...

Re: Help with NEXR5GO and Verizon Ipad Tether/Hotspot
I think this may be the case, I contacted dairyman on the whirlpool forums and we discovered my router did not have the necessary packages included in the firmware image to USB tether to an Ipad/Iphone. Once I got that sorted out I was finally able to USB tether. After not being able to configure t...

Re: Visible Wireless Sim work??
I have tried all the steps provided for Visible. But I keep getting very low speedtest results (like 0.75 MB down). I have the following rules set and can verify they are in use by looking at the firewall status. Using GL-X750 stock firmware 3.104. EC25-AF. Visible SIM directly in the router using ...

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
I have not flashed the firmware of the modem yet. I have to do that with a USB adapter, right? I bought one but haven't done it yet. It's running in MBIM mode, even though it can't run the "deactivate" command. Honestly, it's running great right now. It has not had a single hiccup in the ...

Is your phone that you used an android phone? Rich, I think he meant that initially he was using an Android phone via usb tethering which worked fine using regular phone data (used over 150GB), but when he tried tethering an iPad with WiFi (since it has no usb tethering option), that's using hotspo...

Re: T-Mobile Home Internet has hidden MHF4 connectors for external antennas?
I'm wondering if you can just bypass the whole soldering directly to the interior gateway connectors and just use a cell booster and shoot the signal at the gateway itself. Should result in some improvement.. at least seems like it would. While cell boosters do in fact boost the signal's dB levels ...

Re: DMZ - Alternative to Bridging a Router
I have zbt-we826 with ep06 running goldenorb_2020-03-01. Because of the external antenna setup, the we826 is not in a good wifi location, so I'm using an asus router for wifi. I have the wifi disabled on the we826, and ethernet is connecting the we826 lan to the asus wan, so the asus router is just...

Result: AT OK AT+QMBNCFG ERROR You definitely have an older firmware, if it still doesn't work after flashing it with the latest firmware, you might have an engineering sample which I'm afraid cannot be converted to a production model. Re: Visible Wireless Sim work??
My set up is just having the Visible SIM card placed directly into the GL-X750 which is serving as a modem/router. So no router or phone is plugged in. I've redacted MAC and IP addresses from the Network Interfaces capture, I hope that isn't an issue. If there is a specific screen within that menu ...

Re: Quectel EP06 - CA band question
You could try locking it by Cell-ID's, to have full control over which bands to be the primary/secondary in a CA session. However, the tower may still decide the priority depending on the carrier and equipment used. The commands below will work on the newer Quectel EM16/EM20/R500Q models, but will l...

Re: Unlimited AT&T Post Paid Tablet Plan with MoFi
Yes the Netgear LBll20 is a LTE only modem no WiFi. Very simple Category 4 modem. Added a apn to it to to be just IPV4 no IPV6. That LTE modem is fed into the Wan port of a TP-LINK AC1900. This TP-LINK AC1900 has no openwrt, rooter, wifix etc. Using the OEM firmware of the TP-LINK AC1900. Also disa...

Real test will be during the week to see if it handles all the meetings and stuff for college and wor...

Re: Unlimited AT&T Post Paid Tablet Plan with MoFi
Gotta add the APN manually via AT commands, they should persist after power cycles and reboots: The custom AT-command itself does persist on restarts, but the firmware's internal script keeps interfering with the IP version. I've seen it work with some, but not all carriers for some reason. I'm sti...

Re: female to female antenna to coax adapter?
As far as antenna amplifiers/boosters, while they do in fact boost dB signal levels ("bars"), they also introduce "RF noise" which interferes with high speed data along with higher latency (ping times). Usually low end/cheap boosters (<$200) will have higher SNR (Signal to Noise ...

Re: ATT Still Showing Hotspot Data as used
Hello, I am using merlinwrt on an asus router with a phone tethered for internet. On Verizon I spoofed all ttl to 65 and I was able to bypass hotspot throttling fine. However, on AT&T even with the ttl at 65 it is still showing as hotspot usage under my at&t app. I tried using the built in ...
