Does your verizon plan have unlimited tethering data or does it like mine slow data on tether to 2g/3g speeds. Honestly haven't been impressed with WiFi out of any of the lte routers. Always use access point router anymore. Seen allot of people that struggle with good signal don't see speeds over 100. Personally if don't plan on going over 100 Mbps like WE826 and a Quectel EM12. Yes sounds like congestion/de-prioritization. Yes external antennas get better signal than a phone. (your phone signals are not terrible by all means) Then with antennas on your router / modem could be even better. Best in my opinion to have wide band antennas. Wide band antennas just means they ha...

The thing about antennas is the more gain they have the harder they are to correctly aim. With the cheap plastic yagis that kinda look like a white flag you can aim within like 70 degrees of the tower with a parabolic its usually more like 12 degrees. Check the specs on the individual antennas. Also...

A dedicated wifi AP, like the ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE-US, only uses max 20W during full load. Might not be as cheap, but the wifi throughput is top notch. I use dedicated access points for my wifi. Re: Rooter Firmware & WG3526+ T-Mobile
I prefer the size of the wg3526 and it's metal case. I have found the smaller plastic units have more heating issues

Re: Rooter Firmware & WG3526+ T-Mobile
Been a while since that thread and the other one you and I were in about the wg3526. I am now also running a cheap archer router (C8) on the head end for all the wifi part and the wg3526 as a dedicated modem. For me the wg3526 worked great by itself for things like streaming video and even got good ...

Re: Great DL, Terrible UL - any ideas on a better antenna setup?
I have the wg3526 with an ep06 inside and as outlined above I am using the booster as my source. The other thing I changed was I turned off the wifi on the wg3526 and used a dedicated router for my wifi, connected via ethernet. This also increased both my download and upload speeds. there is a reall...

Re: Custom Modem/Router
I wouldn't hook one directly into your moderm. If you ask Wilson about that configuration they will tell you that you will likely damage your router as boosters boost 65db and the average router is only made to take about 15db through the antenna ports. While I don't believe you would do permanent d...

Re: No Modem Present
Purchased new NEXQ6GO-U and EC25-AF from The Wireless Haven. Received it a few days ago and put it modem in router today. Every thing boots and I can login in to router but in the modem network status it says No Modem Present Have removed and replaced modem a couple times but no luck. Modem debug s...

Re: Looking to improve signal
Ok now that you know you using the correct band let me ask you this.... are you using the built in wifi on the NEQ6GO? As you may have read the built in wifi can be very substandard. I didnt believe it either when I read about it as I could stream 3 movies at once so how could that be bad. Well once...

Re: Custom Modem/Router
Booster is good for a phone desperate to make a voice call. Boosters are not recommended for direct router connections. Basically you use a booster setup OR you use a mimo setup The two setups are pretty much mutually exclusive to one one another, meaning a booster can only utilize a single antenna...

Its a little longwinded and for the kuwfi wg3526 but I BELIEVE the concets are the same. Let me know if this helps.

It may be as simple as on the screen you posted clicking on the button, selecting the correct firmware file and letting it flash

Re: KuWFi WE826-EC25-AF QUESTIONS
You shouldnt be power cycling, obviously... go into bootloader mode as described above and load a clean copy of rooter/wifix. Make sure you have the correct firmware version and that if the chinese screens from bootloader mode comfuse you look up the step by step process.... its really easy, had to ...

I have not heard of anyone having good results with antennas that weren't matched, meaning its not recommended to have only one amplified.

Re: Simple LTE Modem for Band 13
You have a few options... I BELIEVE the LB1120 is capable of band 13 but that assumes its not locked to att. If it is locked you could try and get it unlocked via like an ebay unlock code. If you dont wanna mess with all that then the cheapest modem I can think of that I would actually use would be ...

Re: Great DL, Terrible UL - any ideas on a better antenna setup?
I’m a bit confused about this setup. Is the idea to get MIMO with the Omni but boost the signal with the other antenna and booster? The idea is the booster is your antenna source so to speak. The omni antenna is simply a way to "connect" your booster and your router. You could try the sam...

Re: Great DL, Terrible UL - any ideas on a better antenna setup?
Normally I would NEVER recommend the rigged setup I have but seems you have tried almost everything else with no joy so here goes: What your looking at is the boosters wireless panel (the large square white unit) and a small generic omni mimo antenna (the small white square with 4G stamped on it). T...

Re: EP06-A on Visible Wireless
I was on visible for a short time and as suggested above all I did was use the apn vsblinternet and left the modem in the default mbim mode.
Also using an ep06-a when I was on it. Now mind you I used the modem in a wg3526 enclosure running rooter.

Re: WE826GO-U how to see my signal strength?
So are you saying if I went 200ft with cable i would lose 100% of my signal? Geez that seems extreme lol. I had heard about the wifi capabilities of the router. Do you disable that somehow? Or just ignore the wifi it broadcasts and use the router you have plugged into the lan port? The cable loss i...

Re: WE826GO-U how to see my signal strength?
Good! It's working just fine for her google meets. So far so good. Im letting visible go and just using Verizon. I upgraded the plan to the Do more to get the most out of it. I seem to get more priority for my data than I did before. Visible is definitely a little slower especially in ping times, A...

Re: WE826GO-U how to see my signal strength?
Thanks 👍 Today is her first day of using it for school so we will see how that goes. Has her first google meet in an hour. The up is still pretty bad. Occasionally hit 1mbps but averages around 0.5mbps. I'm going to dink with the antennas another time to hopefully find a slightly better spot. But a...

Re: Upgrading my current setup with Raspberry Pi
Thanks for the responses. Now that i think about it, i really don't have the luxury to tinker around a bunch to get the RPi setup going since my girlfriend works from home. It just needs to work. That said, i'm thinking about going with the WE1326 and remove my Netgear R7000 from the mix. Would the...

Re: WE826 | WG3526 | WE3926 | WE1326 | WE1026 - Firmware Recovery Mode
Assuming this unit has bootloader mode like the wg series and you can get a file version of the original software to flash back to, seems like it would be worth a try
