Re: Great DL, Terrible UL - any ideas on a better antenna setup?
It's also worth noting that at 14 miles, you're doing pretty well with what you have. Most people at that range would have a high end parabolic grid antenna. Chances are, you're going to struggle. You're likely having noise issues at that distance, and since you're the little voice reaching very far...

Yeah I work on multi-million dollar digital offset presses for a living, troubleshooting is half of my day. :D I'm not an RF expert by any means, but it seems odd that I can get -75dbm with the meter, but the modem continues to see -90 to -110, and horrible RSRQ and SINR now. If you are getting -73dbm to -76dbm on all the bands/frequencies the SureCall tests, then got to be the pigtails, modem or router. Know that does not help you, but what else can it be? If you connect it and get nothing, then you'll know.
That being said, these devices are typically 50ohm devices, not all boosters/antennas are so keep that in mind also. Might want to check that before spending any money

The signal from tower has has changed for sure. Your RSRQ is really bad and so is your RSRP. - Yes, sometimes I can get them a little higher, but my SINR is also VERY bad compared to before. Quick background: AT&T iPad plan on MC7455 with a W826-T. Dual yagis using 25ft LMR400 cabling. A couple weeks ago: Internet speeds dropped significantly (from 70-100mbps to 9-20mbps fluctuating wildly) and really poor ping quality overall. Goes from a normal 80ish, to anywhere north of 200-3000...

I just want to toss in a small tidbit. I have had better service/performance with my 7455 than I ever had with my 7565 before a storm fried it. Speeds are the same, but latency and packet loss is way better with the 7455. -- for me anyway.

If you're assuming ideal circumstances, I believe B41 can carry more than B25. That being said, you're less likely to get full capacity on B41 because lots of people are usually on that band. Less people would typically be on 25. In my area, I have available 41 and 25, but the 25 solo always carried...

For $80 you could get some really high speed data. Before you commit to one specific carrier, you should evaluate your options. There's ways to make each major carrier work for you, but obviously it depends where you are and what's available. Also depends on if you're set on getting it for significa...

Starting this thread at the request of Mr. Jim Helms. I'm looking to learn how to lock bands out on a EM7565 inside a WE826-T2 router using GoldenOrb_2018-11-03 ( OpenWrt 18.06.1 I had picked up a M.2 to USB adapter but I'll feel better if there's a reliable way to modify the bands via the browser i...

Re: Affordable Alternative to ATT iPad?
I think it might be a band issue. I'm going to try locking out B30 but not sure if that's possible without getting a usb adapter for my modem.

Re: Sierra Wireless MC7455 | EM7455 -- AT! Command Guide
Is there a way to issue commands to it like these via the browser? I need to exclude band 30, causing me lots of latency issues.

Re: Affordable Alternative to ATT iPad?
Yeah I have good Verizon and Sprint coverage in my area. Most Verizon resellers want north of $100/mo which seems absurd to me.
There's a few more affordable options for Sprint, but none seem to be monthly.

Affordable Alternative to ATT iPad?
Started using the AT&T iPad plan a while back, works great except that I'm in an AT&T dense user area. Anytime there is an event at the local school, my internet plummets to being borderline unusable. Previously I was using Sprint and never had this issue, but it's tough to find a Sprint sup...

Re: Altice Mobile
According to the TOS they're going to be imposing a hard 50GB data limit before throttling to 2g speeds.

Re: First Test - WE826-T2 + EM7565 on AT&T - Advice?
Thanks! - Yep, not unfamiliar with the backhaul methods of bandwidth management. Didn't expect to get 3CA out of this set up. There's another tower a few miles farther than the one I'm on, but honestly, I can't complain with 60-100mbps. It's more than I need, and enough to be happy with. Ping is goo...

https://imgur.com/xTM6NKT.jpg Small improvement I think. Could probably improve the SSC1 a bit more since it was better last time before I messed with it. Still getting north of 70mbps... somewhere between 70-100 actually. Speed tests don't verify, but large file downloads over wifi are going at up...

Re: New tower, better signal, worse bandwidth...
Ah yes, fiber would spoil someone no doubt.
Band locking would be the easiest solution, if it works out that way. If not, maybe you'll be lucky enough that one tower is far enough aside from the other in your view that you could exclude one using yagis or some other narrow directional antenna.

Re: New tower, better signal, worse bandwidth...
It sounds like the new tower doesn't have the backend bandwidth that the more distant tower has. You can do band locking on many DIY or even prepackaged router/modems. If the new tower isn't in the same direction as the old one, yagi antenna(s) would likely fix this problem. If they are, then it's t...

Re: First Test - WE826-T2 + EM7565 on AT&T - Advice?
Also wanted to make note here, that we've had a few short instances where loss of connectivity has happened. Unfortunately, I was unable to get to a computer fast enough to see if it was the signal/modem or a routing issue. Not sure if this is something that happens? It only happened maybe 3 or 4 ti...

Re: First Test - WE826-T2 + EM7565 on AT&T - Advice?
Small bits of info I thought might be useful to add. I'm pointing at a tower that's approximately 3.1 miles away, with moderate foliage between. My antenna, unfortunately, are pointing across TWO metal buildings, I've read that can cause problems. I've also not attempted to adjust my antenna for ele...

Re: First Test - WE826-T2 + EM7565 on AT&T - Advice?
I'll probably work with the antenna pair sometime this weekend. I don't like speed tests, they aren't often that accurate. I started a file download and was getting between 9 and 9.5MB/s (not mbps) So that's much better than 37mbps reported by the speed test. The antenna are approximately 17 inches ...

First Test - WE826-T2 + EM7565 on AT&T - Advice?
Hello all! I've lurked quite a bit, thanks to many for useful threads. I'm not sure which category this would best fit into, as I'm only doing this for the first time (LTE Modem that isn't a phone hotspot). Using the AT&T method, and my results on first attempt are pretty good. https://i.imgur.c...
