It ain't cheap but Netgear has their Cat 18 Orbi LBR20 4G LTE router available now. it supports Band 71 and about all the others for AT&T, Verizon and T-mobile. https://www.netgear.com/orbi/lbr20.aspx I see that Amazon is listing it now also. It's interesting that its modem is made by Quectel h...

Any benefit to a 4+4 vs 4 (or 2+2 vs 2). Again here I go assuming. I would assuming not lol. My speeds don’t look effected. I do get band 12 here. That's to be expected because your phone's modem is a lot better than the MC7455. Now put your phone's own sim into the router and see if you still get the disconnections if possible.

I assume the router has TTL set to avoid hotspot detection? If so, just swap the sim cards and see. Also, you could enable connection monitor here (a modified version or use the default script) https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=121 to avoid frequently manual rebooting for the time being.

Have you tried using the router's sim card in your phone and compare speed to your phone sim and see if everything is OK? Unless it's not a nano sim and you can't fit it into your phone's sim slot. What kind of modem is it? Your power adapter should be fine if it has been working for awhile.

1. It depends on the bands and bandwidth. If only one of the bands of CA supports 4x4 then the increase in performance is not substantial. Not worth it to get a modem with 4x4 MIMO. If 2 or more then the increase is more noticeable and worth it to get a modem with 4x4 MIMO support. As an example, I ...

Re: MC7455 / EM7565 vs. Quectel EP06 IMEI Change
It's possible now thanks to bkerler https://github.com/bkerler/SierraWirelessGen to unlock Engineer Mode and issue the enhanced commands meant for testing purposes. Do some more digging and I believe you will find the answer. Sierra has pretty good modems unless you are on Sprint then I advise you t...

Re: Has anyone built We826-T2 with Telit/fibocom with LTE modems with success?
Yeah I could see it is not for everyone but for the value it's great. I do have the generic firmware but there is no instructions to flash it, of course. There is one for its little brother T77W676 for linux with fastboot mode via AT command. But that's no use since you can't communicate via comm po...

Re: Has anyone built We826-T2 with Telit/fibocom with LTE modems with success?
Thanks, good to know. I've read somewhere about being locked, but I think that pertains to not being able to use it in an HP/Dell/Lenovo laptop, which has been flashed with generic firmware (something to do with the laptop's bios checking for authenticity). But it seems like it works the other way ...

Re: Has anyone built We826-T2 with Telit/fibocom with LTE modems with success?
Not sure if the Foxconn T77W968 Dell DW5821E version is locked to Dell laptops only, or it can be used freely in routers?? Being a Cat-16 with 5xCA in an M.2 package looks almost too good to be true at around $100usd with all these bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29,...

Re: Has anyone built We826-T2 with Telit/fibocom with LTE modems with success?
Both the Sierra EM7511 (CAT-18) and Quectel EM20 (CAT-20) are great modems with the new band 14 included, which the EM7565 is lacking. Unfortunately they are all missing band 71 which is important if running on Tmobile US with their new 600Mhz band (5Mhz bandwidth). Here are the bands you get with ...

Re: Has anyone built We826-T2 with Telit/fibocom with LTE modems with success?
I was going to ask the same thing, but different modem. Any experience from the group using a foxconn T77W968? this is supposed to be an m.2 modem card for dell laptops. it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 in it and rated CAT16. I am more than willing to put in the money for something like this and ma...

Re: WiFiX Firmware for WE826 | WG3526 | WE3926 | WE1326 | WE1026-5G | WE3526
Thanks a lot @JimHelms and the heads up about firmware recovery mode. My WiFi bandwidth on 2.4GHz did improve. Do you happen to have the WG3526 WiFix version openwrt-wg3526-GO2019-01-13-upgrade.bin somewhere? I couldn't find it anywhere. I would like to be on the second most recent build before the ...

Re: WiFiX Firmware for WE826 | WG3526 | WE3926 | WE1326 | WE1026-5G | WE3526
@JimHelms, do you still have the link to the earlier version of WiFix GoldenOrb firmware for WG3526? I am experiencing poor wifi thru-put on 2.4GHz with the latest. I have already tried the modem manager firmware for WG3526 and still yielded the same result. Thanks in advance.
