Re: LT18 and VISIBLE SIM working..

I ignore the LEDs and just watch the UI, tbh.

Show me your APN settings page.

Also, what version firmware is on the router?

Have you tried a factory reset then only setup the time zone and manual apn plus ipv6 settings on with ttl/hl at 64 or 65?

Set the APN manually.

Make sure the SIM card is being read, IE it shows it trying to connect.

Make sure you are using the vzwinternet APN.

You might have to do this via SSH CLI commands (openWRT should have all the how-to on just about anything). Re: Calyx Orbi and Nest Protect

This is a tough one. So many variables. Likely the issue is a firewall issue not allowing the nest products to ping the home server, or vice versa, via IPV4 or IPV6 (ICMPv6). VPN services do not use IPv6, so that is likely the fail there if it has to be transmitted over IPv6. The latest routers use ...

The issue is the use of the bundle requires modifying the components. It's a customized build to get it all together. Performance-wise there is no difference. Bands wise, the GL supports less bands overall. You can check their stats side by side on the Quectel website. Overall its just the Stand alone 5G bands if I recall correctly. Country of use shouldn't matter with Quectel, I think. Might be safer with the GL.

Re: Connection Disconnect - ZBT-WG1608 issues

There may be a hardware watchdog present that is not seeing the connection, causing the wan0 to ifdown/ifup.

Does your wg1608 have the watchdog enabled?

Re: NEXQ6GO firmware upgrade fails

The modem firmware and the router firmware are separate. Both can be independently updated. You can update the router with no effect to the modem, and with no issue due to any modems presence.

Does the phone plan include hotspot?

You'll need to set the TTL/HL to 65: http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/hidden_3g_ttl.asp

Show me a screenshot of where you are putting the APN into the UI.

Also, is it a phone SIM plan, tablet, or hotspot?

Re: Cudy lt400

His methods are posted. You really need to enable and test the sim in a phone that your imei can come from as a donor imei device that you own. If the simple mobile network detects a non approved device (putting the sim in the router before changing imei) it might kill your sim card and close the ac...

Re: Bricked RM500Q-AE

IS the Netgear running Rooter? If so, look at the modem/debug screen and see if anything shows up there. Alternatively hook it to a Linux machine and in the terminal/CLI run: lsusb (IE: LSUSB) and see if it shows up on the USB bus. If none of those shows up you MIGHT have a paperweight. I have a han...

Re: Modem Manager Install

You may want to look up modemmanager and its related packages that are needed and make sure they were all installed. Make sure to power cycle the router after its all installed. Also, I'm not entirely sure you can assign the modemmanager protocol if it doesn't detect a device. Not 100% sure. ModemMa...
