It might be, some of the international manufacturers will offset by 65 degrees or 45 degrees or? Youd have to ask the manufacturer directly.
The ones from thewirelesshaven.com are set +45/-45 inside the enclosure. Mount straight up and square.

The wrt32x usb ports are only for storage natively. Ive seen posts elsewhere of people getting it working on OpenWRT firmware. If I remember right, on the official site, ofmodemsandmen, there are three firmware images for these type routers. 1 has VPN support (4MB), 1 has usb support(4MB), 1 has both (8MB). I think the mofi/we826 has only 4MB for the firmware and my guess is its optimized/compiled to run VPNs over USB samba...

Sounds cool, except Id make sure the router doesn't use the wall plug for a regulator. Ensure the input to it stays at a steady 12v, or whatever its rated for. I'm sure you thought that too though.

Re: NetGear NightHawk M1 Inside Antenna Ports
What is the ms-156 connector for?
Ideally the connector on the device would be an SMA female.
thewirelesshaven.com has a ts9 to sma adapter....

Re: Modem NOT identified
Cool. Yeah, if any changes at all are made, I do it twice, save twice, and reset the whole kit before testing anything.
So its updated time now?
Any luck on connecting?

Re: advice needed - newbie
I guess to directly answer your OP questions... The WE826GO does not have a modem, you must buy one separate and install it inside. The we826 takes a pcie style modem, but there are pcie to m.2 key b adapters that is as simple to install as just the modem. Any modem Cat6 and above can handle your st...

Re: advice needed - newbie
Ten four. I think your go to is the WE826 with a Sierra Wireless mc7455 and an ATT ipad plan if that is the provider of your choice. Its easy to put together, yet easily upgradeable. Its completely open for firmware, no weird modem firmware lockdown. The mc7455 is a great modem that has run my whole...

Re: Modem NOT identified
Bricking the unit makes it unresponsive to being turned on at all. Semantics I know. :) I think Jim is just trying to suggest paths of lower resistance. No one is judging your choices. Doing these connections still gets the 'shady backroom deal' treatment by people and makes it hard to figure out so...

If its been verified as "flagged" in their system, could you ask them to unflag it?

Re: NetGear NightHawk M1 Inside Antenna Ports
Ive been told the antennas, even when getting a set of the custom hirose connectors, arent used here on USA frequencies and takes some work to get operating even for the limited band they use.

Re: advice needed - newbie
Hey there, welcome. The Mofi4500 IS a WE826 with a Sierra MC7455 inside. Except the firmware is customized. The Wifix WE826 is great. I have one with a Sierra MC7455 inside, on ATT. The wifi is 2.4Ghz only and I feel like its pretty strong, but some complain its lacking. You can always add wifi exte...
