Re: Thoughts on Mikrotik RBM11G / RBM33G

I've just tried to load up rooter on a few RBM33G's I had and TFTP wouldn't work at all, DHCP wouldn't give out the IP and it looped. Tried multiple versions, settings etc etc. After messing around for an hour I gave up and then just used PXE (Tiny PXE Server) it worked straight away and honestly PX...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

Had a great working system and then got issues. It ended up being Vultr! Swapped to RackNerd and its been much better since then.

Really wish I'd checked this straight away. Does anyone know a decently priced provider that has residential IPs?

Verizon Firmware Connected to Tmobile (sprint sim)

Thought I'd point this out here as it could be useful for some. Over the past week I lost CA and to make sure it was a tower issue I reset the modem etc. My Em7511 reverted to Verizon and I was not expecting it to connect, however it did! To T-mobile under a roaming profile. This was very strange as...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

All looking good today, Using Vultr which is in Seattle and pings aren't bad.

Connection (even with Sprint stopping band 41 CA) is at 65mbps down and 20mbps up.

Did anyone ever figure out what "Residential" VPN/VPS were being used?

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

I managed to pay $165 for: Mini PC Intel Celeron J3455 6GB DDR4, 128 GB SATA SSD, Mini Desktop Computer, AWOW AK34 Micro PC, Windows 10, Quad Core, Dual Gigabit Ethernet NIC, Dual HDMI, 5X USB3.0, 4K UHD, Bluetooth Before hand running via edgeos I'd consider good, but it looks like now the amount of...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

All your replies have been hugely helpful. I guess I've always had to manage the bandwidth on the network (to make it usable) that Im scared about changing for no reason! Sounds like I need to let go. Put OMR in place, Let QOS do its thing and put together some domain overrides WITHOUT controlling w...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

Did you end up just pushing everything out of OMR and let QOS deal with devices?

My big thing right now making sure that we still have a failover on the TV group as if I'm out the country and the ATT connection breaks the TVs need to work.

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

Completely understand OMR is different than Mwan3. I'm looking to have OMR on top of my existing load balanced groups, so only one group/device will using the OMR tunnel. It looks like OMR-bypass can select a particular connection, but then I'd lose the ability to have failover / sticky load balanci...

Re: B41 channel when re-assigned to 5G

I think this has just happened to me. Have always pulled 40-60mbps via my mc7511 and then randomly CA has completely stopped working (have tried doing the whole reset to get it back etc.). Planning on visiting the tower to see what they've done, but one thing I did notice is the PLMN did change.

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

Hoping someone can give me a little advice on OMR-Bypass, because I've been stuck in compiling my own version to get OMR + Mwan3 headache mode for the last 24 hours. Last week I moved from my trusty EdgeRouter X over to a mini PC (celeron + 6gb ram) running OpenWRT. Initially I found Mwan3, replicat...

Re: Slower speeds on 3926 than R850

I've been having very similar issues to this. Speed sticking at the magical 5mbps mark. While on the phone today I got the tech to check contention on the tower (I've got a direct sprint account and MC7455 is my provisioned device) and he told me he could see a lot of issues with the tower and would...

Swwifty,

Have just edited my post. It looks like it was a dead IPEX cable.

Still have the MC7455 making a connection of about 35mbps and then dropping out until it reaches 340kbps, but I'm guessing this is something on the sprint end.

2400-2700MHz WiFi 4G LTE 19dBi Directional MIMO Antenna (± 45° ) Port doesn't appear to be working

Hello, Just edited this as I guess I'm having one of those weeks. After double checking my work some how I've managed to let a cable slip through which was indeed completely dead and causing issues. In the rotation of the four cables I've some how missed testing the one cable correctly and that is 1...

Re: FIRMWARE FOR WE826 | WG3526 | WE3926 | WE1326 | WE1026

James

Just letting you know that your image and config files (network, firewall, modem manager) work with a reset MC7455 and do not require a mode adjust (QMI mode fully working).

Going to run this to see if i'm still getting disconnects etc. before trying a firmware upgrade.
