Thank you for that link, I may have read it before, but I've learned so much that it was very helpful. Reading that thread it seems that I won't be damage my gateway to leave one or more antenna disconnected. Any concerns with disconnecting antennas? I seems like it might be easier to aim two antenn...

Grounding: I currently have each pairs shield connected together (metal bracket) and that it not being connected to ground. Could that be part of the problem?

Yes being very close to the roof "could" cause some reflections. Specially if going across the Roof.
