All carriers use TTL, it is part of the system and switch, AT&T most certainly does, here is the difference. Verizon has their switch setup to deny service when data is being shared meaning no data unless TTL is patched. AT&T's switch does not deny service based on TTL, instead, they will wa...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

Yes M1 and M5 are similar the diff being M1 is not a secure boot enabled device and not fuzed the prob you will run into with it is the ADB port is blocked on M1, it can be enabled but takes some work to enable it

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

Ubuntu is a user friendly gui for linux, its not a command line interface. Thanks for the offer of calculating the response but I get a different challenge every time I "AT! OPENLOCK?" you can do your challenge and as long as you do not unplug your device from its current session or re-ent...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

you can get them by query the modem for them does anyone know the coding to lock band2+ band66 +5G (including N260 mmwave "5G+")? Just make a new slot for your config and use the mobile app to set your M5 to that slot and it will be locked to the bands you have in that slot. m5 below AT!B...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

I think maybe you misunderstand what the device is doing if you clear the config then perform a hard reset the device will re-populate that config file with the raw values in the filesystems backup, it will be different from the sticker, you can repair it back to the sticker values if you happen to ...

Re: Copy of MR5100 downloadable firmwares

Hey Rich, if we were able to scroll a little left in that Win Explorer window shot there we wouldn't happen to find an 'ST Micro' folder would we? lol ;) Not sure what you mean, what is 'ST Micro' folder? EDIT: Ok I see what it is by google it, to answer your question no I do not use it, I mostly u...

Re: Copy of MR5100 downloadable firmwares

You will have to unlock the bootloader, (it is secure boot enabled device) and need an exploit to get passed the efuze, the firmware is crypted, if you can manage to do all that this is what you will get. Also those updates are not firmware, they are basically just small config files and such that i...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

After the "repair' does a factory reset still clear all the passwords and other data from the phone and return the settings to out of the box new? I generally hard code everything , meaning everything but the work performed would go back to factory default, the imei can be soft coded so it wou...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

This not something that can be done at a userland level it requires some knowledge of baseband level modification. These type of edits on difficult devices and os's is how I make my living so forgive me for keeping it close for a while I will post my tool publicly after this device is older, I will ...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

To answer your questions, no using the GUI for the modem there is no way to change TTL or Band Lock I have seen it done with the command line but have to do every time you reboot the modem. It is possible to hard code TTL and band lock on M1 and M5 so it sticks not only thru reboot but sticks thru ...

Re: Inseego M2000 5G hotspot

That is to much work to do and give away friend, I worked on the verizon variant for 2 months before I was able to make any notable progress on it. Tmobile is known for being locked down and I would expect it to be more difficult, I am sure the firmware will be crypted on that one, if I ever get one...

Re: Inseego M2000 5G hotspot

will tell you here 1 is your device may get borked, it is likely I will have to direct connect to the chipset and if there are any problems before a recovery file is made, if one can be made for it it will not be recoverable until one is/can be made for it from another working device. 2 is many tmob...

Re: Netgear MR1100 att firmware to unbranded

@ gscheb that depends on what you mean by "pretty much quite working" If it needs reloaded, FDT can only load from the factory normal or factory dl mode if your device is in QDL mode (9008 or 900E) it would need to be loaded byte by byte with a patched loader. I can load the AT&T firm ...

You can reach me at mifis.us
I cannot send or receive any messages on this site. I have tried to msg mods and admin about it to fix or inquire why but I can not do that either, sorry
edit: Maybe a mod will see this and msg me about it.

Re: Netgear MR1100 att firmware to unbranded

If you are using FDT you do not need to send that AT command or do anything with putty at all, just simply remove the battery then hold power and plug the usb in and keep holding power about 8 seconds or until the device goes into Factory download mode then simply execute FDT, also it does not matte...

Re: Setting OpenWRT to connect to 3G/ignore LTE

@wherman 3G maxes out at about 3.3mbps so if you were getting 8mbps you were not using 3G. I believe that is a MediaTek device so there are not alot of PST'S out there for those type of devices. you should log in to t he devices admin panel, most are located at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 if you cann...

Re: Getting IPV6 Connection

I am not familiar with that device but that usually means the apn is set to ip only you can try to run AT+CGDCONT? if your device excepts it you will see what its set to. ip=ipv4 or ipv4v6 is obviously both if it is set to ipv4v6 you are good there, most devices use pdp profile 1 or 3 for data so ch...
