Try using the mbim mode, i could not get mine to connect in qmi mode. I normal have my ttl at 64.

From what i remember i had to do a reset for the auto sign in but I could be wrong, having the paddle antenna on that much wire you are dropping a lot on your signal, update the firmware would be good to do they give more improvement to the device, you can always roll it back if it does not work out...

I have the same setup WG1608 the EM160 with the new firmware, and cant get more then 20 down and 12 up 3xca. Followed all the steps here and still no better, modem will not work in QMI mode. i have 2 other routers 1 we826 with EM12 and i can pull 80 down and 25 up on 1 ca the other is a mofi4500 sim...
