Re: Compiling openWRT Firmware

My network has been running well for such a long time that I don't look at these forums as much, but this is something I have been wanting to do for a while. I use Rooter for my RPi4 but I have always wanted to make my own, thanks for posting this.

Re: Rooter on Raspberry Pi 4

To install Rooter for the RPi4 or any pi, you need an SD Card, SD Card reader/writer (something like this . Using a Windows PC and a program like Rufus , you will need to burn the .img file to the SD Card. - Download the RPi4 files from [url=http://aturnofthenut.com/autobuilds/]Rooter Autobuilds fol...

Re: IPv6 only setup help

My question is can I disabled IPv4 on the wg1608 and re-enable IPv6 with dmz mode still working and ttl settings working. I believe I have read where people have problems with IPv6 data showing as hotspot. Okay, so I tried something similar for a small moment in time last year and I can tell you th...

Re: Dual LTE Modems - GoldenOrb

Would you mind elaborating on your setup a bit please? Sure, my whole setup was trial and error. First, I will answer your question about the USG. You have to establish your network connection for the 2nd LAN/WAN port. To do this, you will need to do the following per Unifi : The order might not be...

Re: ROOTER for Raspberry Pi 4

I'm trying to see if anyone managed to build and use ROOTER OS on Raspberry Pi 4. I see there is a build for RPI3b and there is a community build of OpenWrt for RPI4. There were some stabs at it a couple of months ago on this forum with one user making progress, but it didn't go anywhere as far as ...

Re: EM7566 - LTE+

is there a way to know when my modem is connected to an LTE+ tower or using LTE+, or do I have to assume that if the modem is showing carrier aggregation then is using LTE+. Yes there is, if you go to Modem --> Network Status --> and look under Signal Status, you should see the Network Icon that te...

Re: WiFix DNS servers?

Does WiFix use different DNS servers than regular GoldenOrb? I don't know the answer for this question, but I can answer your question about changing the GoldenOrb DNS servers. GoldenOrb out of the box does not have an assigned name server, it defaults to whatever your ISP uses, you can change that...

Re: Dual LTE Modems - GoldenOrb

I have a dual RPI3B+ and EM7565 setup (we go through a lot of bandwidth with 2x4k tv's) and I was looking for something that would load balance all of our traffic. GoldenOrb looks like it has the option, but I could never get it to work. So I went in a different direction. Unifi has the USG which do...

Re: Newbie looking for advice

I would like to add a little caution about the Netgear Orbi LBR20, it looks awesome but lacks ability to change the TTL settings. You need to change the TTL settings to trick the modem, so it looks like an iPad, on network. I was concerned about the TTL as well with the LBR20 and I didn't have to d...

Re: Newbie looking for advice

I also have a mofi 4500 that a friend was no longer using, but know nothing about it. I was looking at ubifi, but am concerned that at&t will soon block/slow down anyone on their plan. Depending on what mofi unit you have, you could have a real good starter. I found the Sim 7 to be seriously la...

Re: WG3526 with new Sierra 7565 Modem running slowly

So I had this problem on AT&T where I would pull the sim from the ipad, place it in my modem and it would automatically switch to HSPA. After extensive research, I realized that my EM7565 had firmware for Verizon on it. So I had to update the firmware to Generic. There is a great post on here th...

Re: [SOLVED!] Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)

Hey, I have been following this thread for a few days because I have been running into the same issue of unplanned disconnections at odds times. With the help of my pi-hole setup on the network, I was able to identify when the network resets occur, but the only constant I could identify was the time...
