Re: High ping

I am all for KISS (keep it simple stupid) I have not worked on latency problems maybe someone else could help. I would think that is more a Tower issue. And how The tower is connected to the Internet. Fiber or microwave. You may want to bring your modem to the tower for testing that removes cabling ...

Re: Improve atenna signal.

that looks pretty impressive for a "trash can". Do you live in a remote area, suburb, city etc? To be fair this was in the suburb near a TM tower that just got updated :D I have a buddy that I have been helping get internet for two years (C-19 Bug). He lives off grid in a wooded swap, nea...

Re: Improve atenna signal.

Longer term, I'm hoping to install a router/modem. I thought it would help me to crawl before I'd try walking/running. Do the cellular modems not perform as well as a phone does generally speaking? Just wondering. - Feejer It depends .... It's all about Location...Location :D https://www.t-mobile.c...

Yes. I got t-mobile home internet. Ordered it for my buddy's address & had it delivered to my address. I disconnected 2 if the internal antennas & hooked up a mimo external antenna. I'll post whatever signal info I can get. Cool 8-) Fyi there have been reports the power brick for the "...

Re: T-Mobil TM-RTL0102 Connection stats???

In side the TM Trash Can there are Qty-5 antenna wires. I "think" Qty-2 are for 5G, Qty-2 are for 4G, and Qty-1 is for GPS. The modem can be lock to a location. But TM has not done this yet. Again I "think" the first two wires are for 5G. So you could try removing the first two w...

Re: High ping

This was genius... I just ordered it. They only need the address to verify service, but they were still willing to send it to my address. So I ordered for service at my buddy's house and had it shipped to mine. We'll see if this works any better :-) Do you get a T-Mobile at your location?? What are...

Re: upload download speeds

All that said I have seen claims of downloads as fast as 150 meg and as slow as about 3. Upload is always much slower then download in almost all cases. See a speed test claim :D This was with the T-Mobile Trash Can Modem with NO external antenna with 4G Band-66 , Used the modem wiFi to my phone. N...

Re: Netgear MR1100 "Mobile Broadband Disconnected"....

Hopefully AT&T is an option for you.
The nighthawk is AT&T’s choice of modem.

The other carriers try to blacklist it.

Not saying you can’t get to work on other carriers it’s just harder.

What talk with AT&T and see if you can get 100 gig of data for $50 deal.

Re: Van Life Router Help!

Netgear make some modems that may fit your needs, nighthawk mobile modem. The problem with the nighthawks they work best with AT&T other carriers black list it. Also it’s hard to tweak things like TTL and band lock. Make sure you figure out your data/SIM before you start buying hardware See link...
