Re: Verizon service advice?

If you can get an outdoor omni or directional antenna and tune it to the closest tower, you can get a Calyx Institute hotspot that runs on Sprint's network. Since T-Mobile bought out Sprint, they now roam on T-Mobile just fine and you could take out the SIM card and pop it into an LTE router you can...

What in the world is that forum for, if you don't mind me asking? I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Re: Dual LTE Modems - GoldenOrb

I have a dual RPI3B+ and EM7565 setup (we go through a lot of bandwidth with 2x4k tv's) and I was looking for something that would load balance all of our traffic. GoldenOrb looks like it has the option, but I could never get it to work. So I went in a different direction. Unifi has the USG which d...

Dual LTE Modems - GoldenOrb

Hello All, So, I have tried this several times without success and I'm wondering if anyone else has tried getting two LTE modems working with GoldenOrb? I have a WG3526 with an internal Quectel EM12G and a USB enclosure Sierra Wireless EM7455. I try to connect both at the same time and it works most...

Re: Firmware differences

WiFix is for The Wireless Haven LLC routers. Its not supposed to be loaded onto non-The Wireless Haven routers, but the legality of this is dubious at best, since you can't claim rights to an open source GPL project. GoldenOrb Rooter is a heavily modified OpenWRT distro made specifically for LTE-bas...

Calyx T-Mobile Roaming

Hello All, Anyone get T-Mobile roaming working on a Quectel modem? I tried locking my EM12G to bands 2, 4, 12, and 66 (each one at a time) and am getting no service. Switching back to Band 41 or 25 for Sprint gets me right in. I'm using the standard r.ispsn APN and I popped my SIM into my Inseego 80...

Re: Help Me Find a Replacement for ATT iPad Plan

Do you need ATT service? Calyx is $500 a year and unlimited on Sprint/T-Mobile. I use it for my primary internet on the road with an ATT plan as a backup.

GoldenOrb Issuing Same MAC for Two LTE Modems

Hello All, Does anyone know how to stop GoldenOrb Rooter from being stupid and assigning the same MAC address to two EM7455 modems? I have one internally in a WG3526 and one externally in a USB 3 enclosure. They both connect and work, but when the second one connects, it breaks my internet because b...
